An actor's involvement can be a factor in a movie's success. Do you think all of The Rock's movies have been great? But they all make bank and The Rock is considered one of the most profitable actors in Hollywood right now. Actors have a fan following. Franchises (like Assassin's Creed) have a fan following. In another post, you posted why some video game films were so bad, something you wouldn't know unless you actually watched the films. S...
A haystack! LOL.. They are certainly going for authenticity.
Because they are winning this gen. Last gen, when they were losing, they were trying everything possible to woo gamers back, including introducing us to PS+. Now Microsoft is in that position, which is the only reason backwards compatibility is free. That's the great thing about competition, though, and why I hope Microsoft tightens the gap on Sony enough for Sony to start to sweat. We'll get some sweet deals and new features then.
You're right. That's the future of going exclusively digital and we are definitely heading in that direction. For once, I hope law makers recognize this as a problem and put a stop to it, but even then, that'll probably be decades away.
Why didn't I wait?!! At least I only spent $45 for it and not $60 like most.
Personally, I think blacks have pushed the race card above it's limit. It's time for whites to say eff it and do as they please, because it isn't doing anybody any favors in furthering the evolution of the human race as a whole. If you don't like something, oh well, go somewhere else. Your input isn't wanted or needed.
No different than seeing the same top movie stars in Hollywood's biggest blockbusters. Voice actors like Troy Baker and Nolan North have become household names, because of how good they are. Nolan North was completely unrecognizable in The Last Of Us. This is their profession, they're good at it, and people who need people in that profession recognize that and want to work with them.
Imagine all those british actors playing american characters, like Christian Bale (Batman, The Dark Knight) and Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes, The Walking Dead). Sure, it's not a skin color issue, but these are british actors in roles that true americans could have played. Let's not even talk about James Bond.
You're right. Iron Man came out 3 months before Tropic Thunder. My bad, but still... risky move by Hollywood standards even then, but I don't think they would ever try that now, just 7 years later. Shows how much times have changed.
I love how Robert Downey, Jr. got away with playing a black guy in Tropic Thunder. Riskiest move in Hollywood and one of RDJ's most memorable performances. And this was before he became IronMan.
Just look back at the '60s and '70s or earlier. There is your answer. If you want to know the future, study the past.
35 to 50 year olds that are familiar with the classics. That's about all really. I don't think teens and twenty-somethings will be too interested and if they did give some of the old GTA games a go, they would probably consider them such an eye sore that they wouldn't get very far in them before losing interest.
You would have better luck selling teens some super old classics from the original Nintendo, Atari, etc. No, they didn't have the best graphics, bu...
This is what happens when one company tops the other and it's an on-going cycle between Sony and Microsoft. Whoever is on top, let's their ego run wild and think they can get away with ANYTHING. PS2 games should be FREE, IMO. And you would think, with Microsoft offering backwards compatibility, that would be the direction Sony would have gone with, at least, the PS2 games. But that almighty GREED has struck again, just as it did with Microsoft when they were on top with the Xbox 3...
I think this is just a money game, like God Of War: Ascension. And by that I mean, it's basically just some side project quickly thrown together to make some $$$ to invest in the next big game. Far Cry fans will buy it, just cause. Casual gamers will buy it, because it looks cool. Hardcore gamers... ehhh, that group could go either way. Whatever the case, it's Far Cry, so it'll sell, just as Ascension did.
Big IDK on this one. Looks like something I would wait to show up in the bargain bin.
I've never been too big of a MP gamer. It's the SP campaign I'm most interested in.
If I received that and happen to even notice it, I would laugh and go about my merry way.
I'm not too interested in Uncharted's MP, but I wouldn't mind downloading the beta just to see the graphic enhancements current gen has brought to the game.
Remember when early beta access was part of the PS+ plan?
I don't see why people care about this game so much. I mean, yea, R* has a good track record of releasing great games and this one - if it ever sees the light of day - is most likely going to be great, too, but why get excited over something you literally know NOTHING about, besides it's name (which could be changed)???
When I first heard about this game I questioned why I would want it, since Lego Marvel Superheroes already has pretty much every Marvel character in it, but after watching that gameplay, this looks like something I would be interested in trying out. Not at full price, of course. Lego games tend to drop in price pretty quick. But I'll hit it up at the $20 range.
