The page won't stop scrolling up and down. "God damn it!"
Eventually you'd want to develop a browser interface that's built around the input device.
For now, the hand is simply replacing a mouse, so you'd be better off just using a mouse. But if they built a whole browser around hand manipulation and gestures, it could be a step forward.
"Someone could read a no score review and think it was a positive review while somebody else could read it and think the review was negative."
That's exactly why the no-score review is the best.
If people can interpret the review, they'll take what they want/need out of it. People have different tastes, preferences. If someone is able to see a review as negative and decide not to buy the game based on that and, at the same time, someone read...
Never seen it, but that youtube trailer has Uncharted written all over it!
I remember watching Fool's Gold and thinking it felt a lot like an Uncharted movie. Of course the actors weren't quite right and the story either, but the chemistry and the feel of it were very much like the game.
Yeah, but then your friends look through your achievements and realize 90% of them are random japanese games! I guess it's fine if you want to be No.1 in the world, but for someone who's RL friends play with them, it's kind of embarrassing.
Yeah... I'm pretty embarrassed that I platted Terminator Salvation!
But hey, at least the few other people on my friends list who even have a platinum all did it too, so we can share in the embarrassment and laughter together.
Now that you mention it, Wahlberg being cast as Drake is EXACTLY like Gyllenhaal cast as the Prince. Hollywood bringing out the big guns when they're completely wrong for the role.
GT's menus have always used an arrow for navigation. It's not like yo have to drag it all over the screen, you can just use the d-pad to jump from one option to another. In a way, this actually makes the game better because it allows for much more intricate menu layouts.
People will nitpick at anything without thinking about what the alternative might be. In this case, the pointer is much better than simplified menu layouts.
You forgot to mention Demon's Souls and MAG.
MGS4 and U2 definitely; GoW3 underwhelmed me (my opinion, don't hate! I just wish Jaffe'd directed--he'd have made it as epic as it should have been. I'd love to explain my opinion on the game more in PMs if you ask.).
It should have been NATHAN FILLION.
I'm a huge fan of the games--bought both Day 1, platted both, love ND. But Fillion was too perfect for the role, so I will not be watching a bastardization with Wahlberg as Drake.
Anything Sony that isn't crushing its competition automatically fails, according to the media.
Actually, GT5's been labeled a failure by a lot of media sources already, so I take my original comment back and replace it with: anything related to Sony gaming is automatically a failure, for one reason or another.
If their emblem bothers you, then they've already won half the battle! They're in your head.
Sure... Except the animus is the part of the game I hate the most. The characters are douchebags, the story is boring, and there's 0 action--actually that's not true; there's an awful escape sequence at the end of AC2.
Take the animus completely out of AC and the game instantly becomes 10x better. I HATED being pulled out of Ezio's story in AC2 only to be interrupted by a damn animus story arc.
They're 1 to 10. That's IT. Numbers aren't subjective, you can give your reasons for them, but you can't spin a score. THAT's what scores are for. At a quick glance, how good is the game? Oh, it's a 6-7-8-9/10.
If you start judging games on different merits, then the meaningfulness of the scores goes completely out the window.
That's why you can't give Forza a 10/10 and GT5 a 8/10. I don't give a shit that GT5 is held to hi...
Too bad I don't have any disposable income at the moment, because that is extremely tempting...
You can't win in this situation. Even if you do somehow get enough people to boycott the game in a significant way, what's the result? Activision notice the PS3 sales are lower and they make even less effort on the next game...
And you expect to be able to make out every little blade of grass--are you effing serious?
On the one hand, some people are complaining that the game doesn't "feel" like you're going fast.
On the other hand, you have morons like this guy who want to make out every little blade of grass when you're going 67mph.
HOW do you think a game "feels fast"? Motion blur. Do you think there should be motion blur when you...
So their account disappears--big deal, no one'll notice.
No, they need to be humiliated. Bungie needs to make them glow, with huge arrows over their heads, and take away their weapons. Let them run around like light up Christmas trees as you say, and let everyone take potshots at them!
Oh, and their usernames should be put on display somewhere for all to laugh at.
There's that new one about the dreams that was released yesterday... But there's also Sam & Max, and the Monkey Island games, and I'm sure there are more.
Unless "hidden object game" is a different genre than "point & click".
Is this a JOKE?? Author is trolling. The fact that Mal and Drake are so similar would be in no way detrimental to the Uncharted movie.
I have also watched movies solely because Fillion was in them--Slither, anyone? (Awesome movie!) The mere fact that Fillion has this appeal is itself a great argument why he'd be perfect for the movie. Wahlberg's a great actor and all, but I wouldn't watch a movie just because he's in it (I'd never have watched Slither if h...
