You make a good point, but I don't think M$ gives a shit about backlash. They'll just drown it out with more advertising spending.
Cases in point:
-Aborting the Xbox to push the 360.
-RRoD
-"You are the controller" BS when we all know they're going to make hybrid games.
Hasn't stopped people from falling for the ad machine.
Really, trolls need to stfu about MAG's graphics. They ARE great, even compared to Black Ops. Here are the first HD vids I found on youtube of each:
Black Ops: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
MAG: http://www.youtube.com/watc...
The MAG one is a new map. It's a bit emptier than ...
I'd prefer it if there was no aim-assist at all.
When I'm flanking 3-4 enemies obviously I don't want to get all their attentions! I focus my fire on the one who notices me, planning on mowing his friends after, but sometimes he's not the closest one to me and his friend will cross my line of fire. At this point the aim-assist kicks in and tracks his friend, who hadn't noticed me, and draws my fire away from the one I was shooting at because he was a threa...
It's a cultural thing. In the 'States, the media thrive on fear-mongering. Why? Some say fear sells, and in a country that's so pro-capitalism $$ dictates everything. I think that's true, and part of the answer, to an extent, but it's deeper and more complicated than that. Also the concept of the family unit is so strong in the states, so what better way could the media possibly have to scare their audience than their greatest vulnerability--their kids?
So...
Are you kidding me? My EXACT words: "There has always been teasing in school and there always will be." Yet you felt the need to tell me it's still going on, and also tell me I don't notice it.
You can't even understand words that are right in front of your face, yet you think your grasp of the state of bullying in schools is somehow greater than others? I'm sure your comprehension of worldly matters is infinitely deeper than your comprehension of my...
--and also the reason I won't be picking up Brotherhood, now that you mention it.
I had the same thought too: they could just make 2 different control settings--one "Casual" where movements and parcour is mostly automatic, and the other "Core" where you have total control over your movements.
I'd just get so frustrated when I'd see a perfectly located, easily accessible ledge just a short jump away, but Ezzio would f*kn over-ju...
Definitely would've been better with a 5th pair.
Yeah, this little girl is cute for liking Star Wars, and yeah it's sad that she's getting teased for it--I agree with the other commenters on this thread. But you people are exaggerating.
This isn't bullying, it's just teasing. There has always been teasing in school and there always will be. And, if anything, bullying/ teasing is less bad nowadays than it's ever been, and it'll continue to get lesser, not the contrary like the media would have you bel...
But if there's no skill involved then I'm not having fun, I just find it boring. It's a balancing act: for a game to be pure fun, it can't be too easy but it can't be very hard either. (I enjoy games that are punishingly hard too, but I don't consider them pure fun! Games that are just easy, on the other hand, I do not enjoy at all.)
Funny, I hated it from the moment I saw it.
The narrow corridor environments that allow no freedom in approaching your enemies, the idiotic one-liners (like others have said, I don't mind swearing, in fact I encourage it in a game of this genre, but the swearing in this game sounds forced and childish) and the slow-mo enemies flying through the air to make sure players are easily able to pull off stunts without needing any--you know--skills.
But hey, to e...
Way to totally miss my point.
My point: this is useless both as a replacement for the text pad and for a DS3. So really all you're left with is a fugly BD remote with useless extra functionalities that you're paying for.
Try harder to sell this product to us. Really, try harder.
My comment was making suggestions for how this product could actually be useful. Make it a fully functional DS3 but change the shape a little (while keeping i...
The only games this can be used for at the moment are the most old-school of PS1 titles.
The keyboard could be useful for PS3 team-chatting, but that's not an option because the controller wouldn't be sufficient without the analog sticks.
Damn... Starting to sound like I should probably pre-order it soon or I won't be able to get my hands on a copy come launch time. Would be a damn shame to have been waiting 4 YEARS for this game and not get it at launch because I didn't pre-order!
No, I get the feeling it's more of a connoisseur game. So most of the people who talk about it on forums are probably telling the truth. The masses who don't frequent internet video games news sites are mostly too busy buying the next installments of CoD, Madden, and Rock Band.
Edit: Off Topic: This game always gets me to use up all my bubbles!
Yes, Tower of Latria was very unnerving the first few times! The whole game has you on edge the first playthrough (or until you're familiar with all the environments), because you're always scared of dying, but ToL was even more so because of the palpable atmosphere.
@Mystic:
My brother's the same way!
I recommend the coward approach! First thing you need to do is go around the ramparts and kill all the crossbowmen--but watch out for the TK's ranged attack! Once they're dead, stay up there, but find some place where you can quickly pop in and out of cover. Then take shots at him with whatever ranged weapon you have--I recommend the basic magic missile spell. This way takes longer, but it's safe.
Once he's dead, DO NOT consume his soul! Keep it to obtain the ...
That's the thing about this game: it's not so much hard, as different and with a steep learning curve. Games nowadays don't often require our full attention the way this one does. If you get distracted, you'll probably die. In some situations, if you don't give 100% concentration, you will die!
Some enemies require you to parry or dodge their attacks with precise timing, which is where the learning curve is and why you need to pay attention (also: the stam...
and it was easily worth every penny!
20$? That's just outrageous--they're giving them away! Anyone who calls themselves a gamer has no excuse not to pick this game up anymore.
I absolutely loved the first Golden Sun! I was young then, and I think I outgrew the series quickly, but I look back on it fondly and I think it's going to be a great RPG for the new generation of young gamers.
So as long as Sony doesn't charge us for online, really we should be thanking 360 players because they're paying for us to play! Socialism...
As long as this doesn't affect future game development... Actually what am I saying? I don't give a shit about Activision's games!
