No way this could keep up with a CoD, especially now that its eating a chunk of the processor cycles. The latency is probably one reason why they scaled back to not support older games.
On the other hand, the DS stylus is awkward and uncomfortable many times, but they keep cranking out games forced to use it.
The 8 Steps of Standard Microsoft policy:
1. Take an established successful idea and claim it as your own.
2. Debut said idea as NEW an AMAZING product that will change EVERYTHING.
3. Advertise what it is SUPPOSED to do on a big stage set to classic rock music. (Rolling stones or Beatles)
4. Find any way to make it cheap and fast to manufacture cutting every corner possible.
5. Throw money at developers who have no experience in said technology to make...
Price of Uncharted 2?
$59.95 MSRP
Picture of MW2 Ghost in the camper tent?
Priceless.
Bar none, the longer I played the more I liked it. Definitely more squad based, which is a damn good thing. But I still think there are more than a half dozen things that need more polish. The game just feels really unfinished. Hopefully this is a flavor of the beta and not the taste of the final game. If so, nothing Zipper cannot address easily.
1. Graphics aren't bad, just not very polished. The style is half cartoony and half realistic. That aspect doesn't blend well. T...
Microsoft subcontracts to Flextron, all 360s are made in China. My chess set never gets dead batteries or gives a blue error screen.
Now chess, there's a REAL tournament game. Halo tournament? Ahahahahahahahah. Tic Tac Toe takes more skill.
I heard there's no campers in this game so I don't care if there's doggy doo on the cover, I'm sold!
If they don't make it error and over heat proof first, it will never make it to the future.
As I said before, the chopper gunner infection was just the beginning. That's what you get when the whole game engine is rooted in Quake3 tech.
Dedicated server policies would be a step in the right direction, but Activision and IW don't give a doodoo, they're laughing all the way to their Swiss bank accounts.
I've put in years on the CoD franchise as a whole and more than 170 hours on Modern Warfare 2 and i do not dispute anything in the list.
Keep your boosters, your Akimbo and your glitch infections. Time to move on. Bring on Battlefield BC2
Well it looks like crap. But I didn't like the first one either.
To each their own.

MAG is a giant network tech demo so I think the game is hit and miss. But I still think Sabotage and Domination are pretty fun.
I think MAG and the Battlefield games have a better team dynamic where you can have some sort of tactical edge if you coordinate.
COD games are NOT about tactics. The point of COD has almost always been spawn trapping. Now it's glitching and boosting.
I'm going to give MAG a chance, hopefully they keep adding features to it...
This is just the beginning. The game has only been out for less than two months.
I logged 7 days online since MW2 release night. 17,000 kills later, I sold my copy on eBay.
Javelin glitch wasn't that bad, I put down anybody who was carrying one. But this type of crap will just keep happening. On top of that, lag makes HC unplayable and the kiddie Nuke boosters ruin Domination and TDM
Having tried the beta, for actual objective based gameplay, Battlefi...
If people complained about having to get up and put a disc in the PS3 for Netflix, they why would they want this when you can't even sit down half the time.
Its pretty weak to play an entire Domination or Demolition match with A and B locked down and the other team just sitting back by the Hummers in Invasion trying for a Nuke.
Nukes aren't any fun, it takes all the ebb and flow of the battle away. Go play TDM if you just want to camp. When I snipe, I run and gun with the Intervention. It's difficult to get the hang of but a lot more fun than sitting in one place jerking off with claymores like a four year old douche.
How many of those 5 million Xbox 360s are still working? A search on ebay shows quite a few "refurb" units. I'd say its about even. But they're all fighting for seconds. Wii wrapped this one up last year.
"Gaming Journalism" isn't journalism.
It is part public relations, part advertising. Its like calling People Magazine or TMZ journalism or calling Roger Ebert a journalist. He is a film critic, not a reporter.
Wake up. There is no such thing as gaming journalism. Not one review of Modern Warfare 2 mentioned network lag. A very common occurrence during play. Why? A real journalist would have covered every aspect of the game. nobody did. This is ...
Better single player
Better multiplayer maps
You can play your music online as you play, MW2 doesn't.
I think Warzone seals the deal.
Now if they could only refine the damned controls....
Fiinally somebody said what needed to be said.
It's not as if MW2 invented the gun turret level in a FPS. It comes down to how the level plays.
Infinity Ward has checkpoints in CoD. Wow how many games have those?
