I bought the PS4 remaster months and months ago and I don't think I'm even half way through. it's mildly entertaining, but I only play for about 15 minutes before I get bored. The notifications that a "super secret tomb" is nearby are borderline hilarious. Good for Xboxers, but if it's anything like the last one, there's not much to miss.

It's faster than before, but I end up in matches with people in rank 14 or higher and I'm at 4. I went from 45 clan healthy to nearly all sick in just three straight matches of getting steamrolled by arrow wielders. When they have all the steady aim perks it's pretty pointless.

I'm not paying for broken games anymore. Battlefield 4 was the last EA game I'm going to buy.

Work of art. Played through twice on PC. There was one room I had probs with toward the end but I would say all rooms are beatable without help. Worth more than most $60 games

This stuff has always been marketing tools. Apparently everybody forgot about "16-Bit, mode 7, Blast Processing, 64-Bit, CD Drives, Blu Ray drives, Next Gen, 1080p." There's absolutely noting new here.

60 FPS games have been around for like 30 years now people.

I don't disagree on anything he said.

But maybe he should try and ship a game that works first.

MSG 3 and 4 are still my two favorite games and I still think Ground Zeroes was worth more at $30 than AC4, Titanfall or any other game I bought this year. But Kojima is not the dramatist he thinks he is, never has been and never will be. Just hand me the controls to snake, a box and some fulton balloons and I'll never complain.

A good idea is a good idea, but sometimes it's a good idea to leave well enough alone.

The level literally walks you through every single step. You can only take one shot at the bad guy and no matter what, there is only one way to shoot the guy. It's completely on rails. Virtua Cop - military edition.

When did this linear thing become some cross to carry?

All Ghillied Up

That's all I'm gonna say. One of the dumbest most overrated, hand holding, linear game levels ever made from one of the most linear, overrated games ever made. And it sold millions. I think The Order looks way more interesting. But I like the setting. Future Victorian England? I'm in.

Now THIS is a worthy thread

I nominate LAG from "Call of Duty"

They're fighting for diminishing returns. Five years from now, MAYBE they turn a slight profit? The more competition in the market the better, but Microsoft is finding out where their shallow business practices end up. The MARKET will finally decide on their products, not their MARKETING department.

I remember when Harrison said:

"Xbox One is Kinect. They are not separate systems."

They removed Kinect.
They will probably remove Blu Ray eventually

Sooner or later, they'll stop selling games for it too.

To me it's desperation. If Sony goes down to $299 then they're back in the same boat they were last week. The division doesn't even make much money for Microsoft to begin with even when profits do show up.

Cue another year of more "XXX could be a game changer for Xbox One" articles.

You're better off buying a Wii U.

However good it actually is, I predict Edge will score it a 5.

Article very two weeks insert:

"Why XXX could be a gamer changer for the XBO"

1. Titanfall
2. The Cloud
3. Microsoft Surface
4. DX12
5. Gears of War
6. HALO 5
7. No Kinect
8. Spawts, Spawts, TV, TV, TV Spawts
9. Price drop

If there's this many game changers needed after only 6 months on the market, then there's something much deeper wrong with the business model.

it's not fixed. A lot of the day 1 issues are still in there. Frequent audio drops and the stuttering have never gone away. Six months on the game is busted. I'll never fork over another dime for a Battlefield. EA/DICE won't get the message if you keep paying $60 for their beta tests.

The real number that matters is that 20 million games sold. The console sales are purely potential. What made the 360 relatively successful wasn't necessarily the console sales numbers - like the Wii worldwide numbers, it was 360 owners bought more games overall than any of the others console user base.

It's the same thing with Android vs. iOS. Android is on everything, but the market share comparison is meaningless, iOS users are massively outspending Android user...

DX is a set of proprietary programming tools that talk to the graphics card to draw all the millions of triangles on the screen when you play a video game. It is Windows-based but has also been used in all the Xbox consoles.

PS4 runs a version of the UNIX operating system and cannot use DX, however Sony uses a version of the open source Open GL, which is similar but uses different set of tools for graphics programmers to draw images on the screen.

For the 999999th time...

PS4 and the XBO are based of similar gimpy AMD CPU cores and the PS4 has a faster overall memory system.

PS4 has 18 GPU Compute units and the XBO has 12. it will always be this way. 12 is less than 18, in case you didn't make it through first grade math.
