I posted this EXACT thing when the first story came out. In a creative industry - creative differences often happen - it is an essential part of the whole aspect of the final product. Sometimes people quit or higher ups see a rocky boat and step in, this is a totally normal thing. It all comes with a job like this. Sometimes people take it personally or sometimes people need time away from work. Game will come out fine, if these differences didn't happen, we'd be playing a new Ja...
I think people are grasping at straws. It is entirely possible Balestra and Wells - the two people who actually are in charge - either got feedback from the team about the direction of UC4 or didn't like where the game was going creatively and opted for the change.
In everything you see, ND is one of those places where they do the dirty laundry in the open. If Wells and Balestra wanted the change, then they could have asked TLOU team to step in to finish production too...
Output resolution on Titanfall isn't going to make any difference on any platform. The game looks pretty rough in spots at 2560x1600 on PC. Texture resolution and lighting are what need to be improved. But it's just a noisy arena shooter so I'm not sure any of this is important in the first place.
The game was originally architected to work on 360 and PS3 and the overwhelming sales will go the 360. PC plays ok, but maxed out, it just looks like ass.
Buy it. Fantastic from start to finish.
Yes
I don't need to break it - it breaks itself. It crashes pretty consistently. Every few maps the lobby closes and back in line you go.
For a PC game running on "high" settings on Max resolution it looks pretty bad. When you get into a Titan, those pixelated cockpits look right out of a PS2 game.
The majority of deathmatch you expend time looking for actual opponents because most of what is on screen is AI driven - poorly at that. If you'...
Small maps.
No destruction in env.
Too many canon fodder bots.
Looks like a 360 game.
Fun in small doses, but I get bored after a couple matches. I actually think with some adjustments this could be decent as a Free2Play tablet game. There's not much here demanding on the hardware. Not seeing why all the hype.
It's a lot of noise and flashy booms like Vanquish, but I think there was a lot - A LOT - more to do in Vanqu...
ha. What a joke take on the game. If you're not good at shooters, you'll still get steamrolled. The only difference are the bots just sitting there with red text acting as tackling dummies to get a score. Run and hide and you'll survive long enough to get a Titan - then you will have somebody rodeo your a$$ to death or a few rockets to the face to send you to the kill screen.
Simplistic game, but not one that makes you feel better about being killed over and o...
Game is pretty obvious Source driven. It runs constant, but not really impressive. Two days grinding out the Beta on PC. Max settings 2560x1600 and it looks pretty last-gen.
Folks, it's a somewhat good shooter, but absolutely nothing to hype over. Game could clearly run on PS3 and 360 with no issues. Stop hyping it. Titanfall is a very well-made but pretty generic shooter.
Not sure why there's all this fuss over nothing. Titanfall looks like an Xbox 360 game on my PC at 2560x1600. Been playing the Beta for a few days. It's not all that different from any other shooter you can pick up. A little slower than COD, no destructible env, but definitely has solid controls. A lot of hype and fuss over a pretty standard shooter. Good for what it is, but not worth $60.
Oh yeah and Cormack McCarthy is apparently the only person to create a story about last humans and viruses. Only if you were born within the last 15 years and have a wall for a untold years of literature would this comparison make sense.
I AM LEGEND was written in the 1950s and pretty much inspired 50 years worth of this stuff. And it was by no means the first to tackle themes like this.
Yeah and Titanic won Best Picture and I thought it was garbage. So what? Tomorrow is another day.
I played TLOU through four times for the Platinum and the MP Is really good. But if you don't like it, the world isn't going to end.
Rose. Colored. Glasses.
Was great back in the day with the gravity gun but I remember being bowled over by the original Portal a lot more. Portal took the, arguably, best part of HL2 in the way of the gravity gun and a better game resulted.
If Valve never makes HL3, I'll never miss any sleep.
GTA is bigger
LoU is better
Either one is better than BIoshock Infinite. That was a waste of $60.
If anybody ever made it to Japan in the past five years, Titanfall brings back memories of dumping wads of yen into the Kidō Senshi Gundam Pod in Umeda. But that was massive fun mostly because of the immersive experience and getting to save your progress on a customized team card. I'm going to get it on PC but jumping and shooting stuff has been pretty stale for awhile now. Hopefully there is more to it.
Yeah but it's not 60 FPS. On any given map, it's more like 45 FPS. Big improvement from anybody on PS360, but not really much to brag about. Especially over such a fragile game.
People DO DEMAND PERFECTION. When I type a key on my computer keyboard or remote control - it works 100% as expected and with completely no delay.
Kinect doesn't work. I tried it during the holiday. We had a few people in the family try it and after having to repeat stuff a few times, everybody gave up. Verdict was in --- JUNK.
An astute observation from my little nephew: "The remote is a lot faster than yelling at it, this is stupid."
Got the Platinum. Surprisingly attainable. Sold it thereafter then picked it up a month ago for $9. Just a riot from start to finish. It really never gets old to play or to look at.
Art design is fantastic, excellent final sequence and superbly satisfying on Superhuman. Just use the Magnum and dentate all the power rods.
Played through again pre-PS4 delivery and it's still awesome. Fully upgraded Atomizer and Mutator are in the running for best weap...
It's like Google Glass. Pay a lot of money for something that sounds sorta cool, but doesn't really work well or do anything all that useful.
