It would because they are upscaled for HD screens.
Meaning it won't have any jaggies in the graphics.
It will look exactly the same as it did on launch day in 1997.
There is no remake in the history of gaming that is tailored specifically to the original fans.
This FF7 remake is for old fans, but is also to gain new ones.
There are other things to consider as well. Such as the new technology, new graphics etc

You seen literally about 15 seconds of the combat.
From what I can see, most of the original combat looks intact.
HP, MP, Limit breaks are all there.
Then there is that fourth bar, the main one. It seemed to be steadily increasing over time, and portions of it were depleted when the character performed an action. So there is an element of timing and strategy to it.
