Actually that's not true.

Both Sony and MS have announced there will never be any upgrade exclusive games. They are both being designed and built to be part of the Xbox One and PS4 life cycles.

It's up to the developer if they want to use the upgraded consoles extra power. They can choose to cater to the lower consoles only, or create upgraded versions of their game.

No it's just Crytek.

They have been whinging about consoles not having enough power for decades.

STFU Crytek.

You lost your right to speak about consoles many years ago.

Go back to failing at making games (oh right, you already gave up on that).

Just make it awesome! Please! I always want to get in to the Armored Core games, but they always feel so soulless. Hopefully the Souls developer can give it that :P

And why do Japanese Developers not seem to care about the ongoing support of their online games?

"Why pay that high amount when you can play its games on PC?"

Why pay that high amount when you can play its games on the cheaper and lower spec'd version of the console?

And games will work just as well on both versions of the consoles. So of course the average consumer will choose the cheapest model.

The difference in power between the upgrade consoles doesn't actually matter anyway, because neither company has committed to upgrade exclusive games.

There is as much reason to buy a PS4 Pro, as there will be to buy a Scorpio, to run your games a bit better. That's all really.

Both the Scorpio and PS4 Pro are really marketed towards the PC crowd. The kind of people who CARE about graphical quality and performance.

I don't s...

How much more of a lead do they need?

They are already doubling the Xbox One in sales.

The thing that confused me about the PS4 Pro, is the whole "supported games" thing.

You can play any PS4 game you want on the PS4 Pro, but only "supported" games will be able to make use of the technical enhancements.

But at the same time, any game will run slightly smoother on it, since it will have more power than the game was intended to run on.

As a matter of fact you are correct, it ended up VERY well for the Xbox 360.

By the time the PS3 came out, the Xbox was almost at 10 mill sales, and had very strong momentum in the industry, the Xbox 360 was basically the driving force of the industry for the next 5 years, even after the PS3 released.

The reason why the PS3 eventually clawed its way back, and eventually beat the 360 in total sales, was actually NOTHING to do with it's higher specs, it...

HAHAHAHAHA.

SECRET weapon?! How is it a secret that it releases a full year ahead of the figurative Scorpio (which isn't even real yet).

This whole PS4 Pro vs Scorpio debate once again proves how disgustingly pathetic and childish the gaming community and media can be.

3559d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

The one and only advantage it has, is that it is SCHEDULED to launch a full year after the PS4 Pro, allowing them much more time to pump things in to it.

If the PS4 Pro was launching at the end of next year, it would likely have even better specs than the Scorpio, given Sony's history of always outdoing Microsoft in specs.

I wish people would stop talking about the Scorpio as if it is in the market right now. We might as well start writing articles ab...

Why are people acting like the Xbox Scorpio is some huge trump card? It's a new console, and new consoles typically include major leaps in performance.

Sony was obviously trying to slightly iterate on the PS4, rather than release the PS5. But Xbox has gone with a complete Xbox Two upgrade. Good for them. If the PS4 Neo launches this year, they will have one year full head start on the Scorpio, then Xbox will get a lead on PS until Sony releases the PS5 which will in tur...

You literally become one of the dumbest people in the room if you automatically assume that post launch DLC = an incomplete launch game.

Can people please report this article. Don't need false rumors spread.

This article is bullshit nonsense. Destiny will not become f2p.

I know n4g exists to basically give a voice your lesser known sites, but articles like this don't even deserve to be published in a word document let alone the Internet.

Anyone with even a tiniest of brains will know that Bungie are about to release Destiny: The Collection on ps4 and xb1 which will contain all of the games content thus far including the next expansion.

It makes literally no sense what so ever for then to continue to sell the base gam...

Good guy Microsoft right?

As others have said, the developer is the one killing the game off by making stupid mistakes. The game itself is a great idea that COULD last a long time, if they did it correctly, which they aren't.

@Shin

Pokemon Go itself wasn't a fad, and the reason why people leave isn't because they are over it. People leave because the developer seems to be really terrible at actually being a good developer. They are starting to make really dumb mistakes.
