Bungie's approach to the games development and community are what is broken.
They need to start creating a clear focus for the game, instead of changing direction all the time. Dev teams can't create good content when they are constantly having to revise things. And no, I am not talking about the balance updates, I am talking about the plan for future content.

In their defense, people probably would have gone crazy for their murder-sim. If Valve didn't pull it from the Steam store.
The original Doom games were never scary at all, they were purely action FPS games.
This is a throw back to those games.
Doom 3 was the only game to introduce horror elements.

I just read somewhere that the Brooklyn location showed off in the E3 2013 footage won't actually be in the launch product. Meaning, they already have dlc content prepared for post launch.
How is that any different from Destiny? How about a graphical downgrade?

Were you around for the PS3 launch? Sony were losing several hundred dollars on every PS3 sold. It took many years for the ps3 to start making a profit.

The biggest issue with ff7 is that the only info we have comes from translated Japanese interviews. Which is NEVER A good source of info because things often get lost in translation.
People have been predicting the demise of Destiny since it was first released.
And NOTHING has caused that. Some of the biggest games have launched and barely made a dent in Destiny.
The only reason why destiny fans leave is because of Destiny itself, not because of the competition.
People are saying a lot about the division, it makes me think that no one has learned a damn thing about expectations.

In fact, it's dumb to say that The Division will be better than Destiny, because The Division has been in development for 1.5 years past Destiny's launch. Meaning they have had that much time to learn from Destiny's mistakes and make changes.
