I just want to see a tangible representation of how the game meshes together at full scale. I'm not sure what to think about Destiny just yet.
They could just using the words "new adventure" and "new world" for buzz and nothing more.
However, if not I'd bet on it being some sort of sequel or reimagining of Ruby/Sapphire. With a new or altered story, an update and expansion of the Hoenn region, new Mega Evolutions, ect.
My main problem is that most of it isn't even really news or anything of substance. For this site in particular, they should just call this place Editorials 4 Gamers since the most we see on here are speculation articles, Top 10 lists, and opinion pieces. It's really oversaturated.
And, like you say, the real news normally gets quickly brushed aside on here. I can't help but wonder how much interesting and quality reporting I've missed due to this.
Nintendo has been remaking old Pokemon games at regular intervals since 2004 with Fire Red and Leaf Green.
I hope this game doesn't bomb. The consequences will be utterly disasterous for Bungie if it does.
Nintendo hasn't released anything official, but we have hardware analyzers who took the thing apart and developer comments. Wii U, on paper anyway, is comparable to the Xbox 360 in most respects. Although with a more advanced GPGPU and slower CPU clock speeds.
That's what makes this so stunning. MK8 is bright, colorful, animated, and detailed yet still apparently manages these major technical features. Resolution, framerate, and split-screen are very taxing on hardwar...
That's a massively impressive accomplishment with the specs they're working with. 1080p, consistent 60FPS, detailed textures and backrounds, AND 2P split-screen? It actually makes me reconsider what the Wii U is fully capable of.
I agree. They built a very solid foundation with the game and did a lot of cool stuff, but the content just feels underdeveloped.
I don't see how you believe that is necessarily supporting your point, much less proving it. She isn't being ignored.
Her supporters may have funded the cheap YouTube series, but the major controversy and threats surrounding her was the fuel that publicized and victimized her across the entire gaming community. Would she even be on the radar in 2014 if her works were passively glossed over as the bitter little rants they are? She got lasting hold on the spotlight and ...
"Feminism isn't equality. Feminism is the advancement of the female gender. Equality is in the form of egalitarianism or humanism."
Feminism, at the base fundamental, IS the belief in equality for women. Extremists like to twist it as something else, but ultimately feminism is what set out to grant equal rights like voting, owning a business, and holding office to women.
It's funny, because humanism and egalitarianism, as products of the Ren...
It does work that way. These people only have a voice to the people that pay attention to them. Ranting in front of a screen means nothing. These people typically just stick to their own groups and vent on Tumblr or whatever social media site, or bicker with anyone who confronts them about it.
The internet is chock-full of all kinds of characters whether you like it or not, and those people will never go away. It's nothing but redundent bickering, at the end of it. Crusad...
Jesus, can't we just enjoy games and forget about all this stupid politicizing? :/
The way to deal with internet extremists is to ignore them. Honestly, this comes off as much of a self-righeous waste of time as their rants. I agree with some of what you say, but I know that the best way to fight loud people is to not pay them any attention and keep myself above their butthurt ramblings.
On the other hand, if a game is taking a long time to come out that's usually a sign of bad management and creative indecisiveness. The result can be a lazy mess.
The pressure of deadlines can be beneficial because they demand more sophisticated organization and discipline to get the job done, resulting in a tighter product.
@NewMonday
You don't HAVE to do it. It's a side-activity that you can choose to puruse or not. If you like driving challenges, you can keep doing them on different sections of the map. If you don't, you can ignore it.
Watch Dogs isn't an RPG with questlines. It's an open-world sandbox game with a linear main storyline, maybe some brief side-missions, and miscellaneous activities like these that you can do on the side in the traditional sty...
The writer of this article sounds like a pretentious snob, and pretty much admits to it.
The blood and gore are not attempting to take the place of maturity, for one, and are total window dressing that can be turned off. And the game did have many choices in questline paths and resulting in distinctly differing rewards and outcomes. There is no "mistaking" going on here. The dialogue and banter are also one of the series' best strengths.

My point is that "It's not scary for me." does not equal "It's not scary at all."
Slender may not have been scary for you, but its tactics worked on others. If I played around with the game much more than I did, I would have been desensitized to its gimmick and able to breeze and manuever through it without much anxiety. However, the novelty is there and it's effective for a lot of people. Fear, as an emotional response based around perception ...
I thought Slender was terrifying. Many of people who have played it would disagree with you. It's a very simple game, but very much captures the feeling of being alone and in constant danger from a mysterious and elusive predator.
Horror is subjective. I, for one, can't find any film scary because having no control over what happens spoils my personal sense of fear. Does that mean other people are wrong to find them scary? Not at all. Some people don't find games ...
There really needs to be some kind of successor to Silent Hill. Konami has proven utterly incapable of handling it ever since Team Silent was forced to disband.
I don't think any horror game to this day has matched the level of bizzare surrealism that 1-3 had. Those games knew how to disturb you and catch you off-guard when you least expected it. Even though there was rarely much real danger, those games did a wonderful job at making players feel lost and paranoid.
If the horror works, there's no reason to complain about tropes. That said, there's nothing wrong with suggesting the genre branch out more.
Part of me thinks it's sort of a "Test the new console waters while making some money." sort of deal. It could be partly for the sake of better HD optimization down the road and getting a sample of software sales potential thus far, without much cost.
Anyway, there's no reason to blindly blame gamers. You're throwing out a lot of broad and vaguely directed accusations. And throwing around pronouns like "You" and "Your", like you'r...
