yeah, with the head start advantage and all the spotlight on them they can advertise twice as effectively using half the effort. if this ad campaign didn't work they'll move on to the next one
i highly doubt it considering the touch pad is click-able which has been confirmed. i'd like to see some real practical applications to the touch pad otherwise its nothing more than a gimmick, one thing it would be useful for is browsing menus (as in swipe to go back and forth,click to select,pinch to zoom,tap to right click etc...) but those are things you can mostly do with just the controller. only time will tell how it works and what for but for now its nice having the touch pad there...
can't you just use the triggers would they serve the same purpose? anyway if what the killzone developer says is true then the developers had a big say in the design of the controller so obviously they weren't too bothered about it.
what? the one that was revealed in the playstation meeting is exactly the same as the hi-res photos on sony's website which is exactly the same controller your seeing here. what about it was horrendous?
i don't think that a fair way of putting it. when compared to pc's consoles always have and always will be low to mid. a console that can preform just as well or better than a high end pc will have to become a pc in its self thus defeating the purpose of a game console in the first place. compared to a pc of the same price range the ps4 does indeed have great specs (assuming that the ps4 will be cheaper than ps3 at launch).
minecraft is shit without user created contents and mods while terraria is already coming to consoles.

i interact socially with my friends not random people on the internet maybe you should get yourself some friends too. if anything not including headphones with the ps3 is the best thing to ever happen. no 13 year old kids whining every game. i also like the fact that sony is making people use their real names, people are much much less likely to troll with their real names than they would with a random gamer tag. sony is doing it right.

agreed they could have easily offered the same features but allow the people who don't want to use those features the option to turn them off that way MS gets what they wanted without causing a scene but no, they went ahead and did what everyone ever knows is a bad idea.
i agree with you to some extent. i guess the focus on America is caused by American games developers and most consoles rely on games sales and other services to make profit.

anyway on topic, i cant agree with you more. the things that turn me away from the next xbox is MS's focus on kinect,lack luster exclusives games library and moving towards making the xbox a livingroom tool. i am looking to buy a games console NOT a tool for my living room. things that would make me not even consider getting the next xbox ...

why are sales so important?! why should i as a consumer concern my self with sales? quality and quantity of games is what matters the only time sales ever matter is if a company that produces games is going bankrupt or needs financial support as with THQ otherwise sales should mean nothing and is only a tool for fanboys to justify their choice of console and make them feel better about them selves as is the case with the submitter of the article.
well...i guess if i am going to play such a dreary and lame mmo for hours on end i want at the very least to be looking at the behind of a female character. at least then there will be something worth concentrating on. i just don't like it when a game focus so much on exaggerated female bodies to the point where the gameplay is so goddamn boring and quests are repetitive.
yeah i would hate for such an amazing piece of tech to go to ruin. the quality and quantity of the games/software however is what dictates the success of the hardware. the handheld gaming devices market is hard to predict and understand. it is not always clear what effect mobile devices has on handhelds but if there is a very large or hugely significant effect then sony has a line of smartphones which it can(and already has) integrate the playstation brand into something which nintendo doesn&...
yeah anything which is an option and not compulsory or detracts from the quality of the main focus,in other words gaming, i am totally fine with. this is something sony does quite well, there aren't many situations where i felt forced to do something the way sony wants me too like paying for online as an example.

sorry that was a mistake on my part. i haven't played ps3 for over half a year now because i have been so busy which is why i may have referred to the ps3 days as something already passed but i do intend on using my ps3 for at least another year. with games like ni no kuni which i have yet to play the time will fly like it was just yesterday, that is a game which i plan to invest alot of time into.
