while i do agree with you please for the love of god do not quote metacritic
honest? and how can you verify their honesty?
depending on the price this can be a serious contender for next gen. i've always assumed (like many others) since CES that the steambox will be like the Xi3,Xi5 and the Xi7 that were shown there http://www.youtube.com/watc... and there was a lot of confusion over it and the steambox. if the steambox is a dedicate gaming device it will be interesting to see how it does
i agree with @zeal0us DRM only hurts the legit users.some pirates go out of their way to purposefully crack always-online DRM games they see it as some kind of challenge. besides if they are able to crack the game and provide a version which can be played offline pirates will end up with a better version of the game than legit users it also provide further incentive to pirate the game for those who have and haven't already bought it. DRM is a lose,lose situation for everyone. the legit us...
info won't be as reliable as sony's press conference which was live streamed all over the world and watched by millions. it will only cause a spiral of endless speculation and silly articles. i will hibernate on gaming news untill E3 because everything between now and then isn't worth getting excited about. i'd rather save my excitement for when it is needed
agreed. i like playing games i don't care so much what platform they are on but i only have the means to get one games console at a time as i am not made of money . the past three generation i have to say ps1,ps2 and ps3 have come out on top. i really liked my dreamcast but i didn't get much games on it and it eventually broke. can't wait to splash out on a gaming pc as soon as time allows me to do so.

on a side note, its funny how some woman complain about the sexualisation of females in video games yet others are more than happy to cosplay half nude 4846d ago 8 agree0 disagreeView comment

regarding the "if you don't like them[micro-transactions],don 39;t buy them" that is not always a valid argument. what happens when games are built from the ground up with miro-transactions in mind and companies make the game impossible to complete without with out buying these micro-transactions (keeping in mind you already paid 60 bucks for the damn game). what happens when they make weapons bought from micro-transaction so much stronger just to mak...
i loled when he started talking about polygons such an irrelevant thing and a subject that was impressive 15 years ago. i thought the industry has gotten over that. his speech at the press conference was pretty weak IMO. however i really do think he is revolutionising video games (yes a cliché statement i know you've probably heard that many times before) the work he has done with mo-cap is not only important in video games but also in film making. to be able to do the body,face and ...
@riderz1337
it doesn't work like that. people are misunderstanding the whole 8GB ram thing. more ram doesn't make the game look any better. people also need to know that the 8GB ram is a common pool of memory for both the CPU and GPU and the OS. video cards generally don't have more than 2GBs of GDDR5 and it is used for stuff like loading textures you rarely find a pc video cards with more than that with the exception of the recently released GTX titan but even that only ...
couldn't care less about the world. as a gamer the console with the best games wins and that was by far the ps3, the last significant xbox exclusive that is not halo,gear or forza was released like 5 years ago or something as for nintendo i don't want to keep playing games i have out grown 10 years ago the fans who have enjoyed the orginal mario and zelda games are no longer children they are in their thirties you can't keep expecting to sell these games to them.
i think it just proves one of the following (or all of the following)
A] that releasing a console in an awkward period of time between previous gen and next gen is a bad idea like the dreamcast for example.
B] releasing a console with unattractive specs makes it less likely that devs will develop for your console or
C] releasing a console with a lacklustre games library and little support after release makes it less likely for people to buy it.

i couldn't have said it any better myself. totally agree. not once, since TLOU was announced, did i think it will be a zombie game. firstly because i have come to expect more from naughty dog and secondly because they already told us it won't be a zombie game.
on a side note, i like how ND made the infection some sort of fungus instead of a disease which is much more believable. i really hate these zombie games where they tell you there has been some sort of disease b...
@Peppino7
yes i believe it will in due time. what i am worried about is with the recent medal of honour being removed from ea's AAA game rotation that they will be focusing so much on battlefield to the point when it becomes the new COD and EA releases the same game over and over. basically i hope they don't milk it and speaking of milking i say absolutely NO to any hint of microtransactions in BF4. EA have publicly spoken about their desire to make microtransations a part of ...

i hope the facebook integration is very minimal as i don't have a facebook profile. i think its clever to use real names as people are much less likely to troll with their real id specially if a headset is being supplied with every ps4
the vita and the wiiU admittedly made the same mistakes but the difference is the vita can still be saved with the release of the ps4,gaikai services and a price drop. whereas the wiiu is not likely to show much improvement. besides vita is a handheld the wiiU is supposed to be nintendo's attempt at "next gen".
how do you explain the lacklustre games library and the worst monthly sales figure in nintendo's history on January? releasing a console in the awkward gap between next gen and previous gen with specifications that struggle to beat that of consoles 7years older has to be the biggest mistake ever.
people will buy the console and use its parts instead of buying the subscription and it will be a prime target for hackers
peter molyneux can fund the damn game himself. using his fans and hype he generates with ambitious promises to kickstart his project and have people fund his games for him so he can create his games without risking anything if they fail is questionable. people need to think twice before the give money on kickstarter specially when you know the person has the means and resources to make the game himself
same, okami is by far one of the most memroable and enjoyable games of my ps2 AND ps3 days. the HD remake with the move is great and adds to the already epic game
