there is no third party support for the wiiU. i wouldn't mind buying the wiiU if there is an exclusive i REALLY like on it and still be able to play the games that i would if i had any of the other consoles but just the fact that there are no EA games planned for the wiiU is enough reason for me not to buy it because at that point i wouldn't just be missing out on MS and sony exclusive but also on multiplatforms. games like fifa, battlefield ,masseffect ,need for speed so on and so fo...

MGS4? is that not a recent example of cinematic game play?

it speaks volumes about nintendo's player base. i can see why third party devs would shy away from selling their games to an audience who struggle with beating super mario. its sad really to compare this to the nintendo which was famed for having such amazing RPG experiences.

EDIT: this is the full picture i couldn't view the other one properly for some reason http://img.gawkerass...

@loulou
the focus won't be entirely on games they will have to provide for the other services they implement. so time and money that could have been spent creating more exclusive, promoting indie devs and whatnot will be spent on the other services while sony for example doesn't need to support extra features that gamers won't even use. but i agree with @JoGam if the core gamers aren't compromised then its all good but judging by the way MS completely abandoned the cor...

i totally agree the keyboard and mouse functionality is there a whole new range of possibilities and as far as i am aware there isn't a single game that made use of it. it's truly perplexing they spend so much time and effort making specialised menu's and scratching their head at how they can map all the controls from a keyboard into a single controller yet they didn't consider just adding keyboard and mouse support.

people have tried planet side with graphics cards in sli that cost almost twice as much as a ps3 and still had their fps tank down to 40. the ps3 barely makes the recommended requirements for planet side but it should run without a problem.

you don't seem to understand that many ps3 exclusives are partly exclusive because it is not feasible to create a game on 7 dvd disks. kojima's metal gear is a prime example, while MGS is associated with sony it has still appeared on xbox yet the reason MGS4 isn't on the 360 is because of disk space http://n4g.com/news/1244810... just the voice acting ...

same situation for me but its a good thing because i will be pleasantly surprised and impressed if they do. i feel sorry for those with such high hopes and standards.

true the information sony gave us at their conference doesn't complete the whole picture how much more do they have left to give i wonder. you would assume they would have enough left to make a strong appearance at E3 (amidst the xbox announcement) but they already announced a couple of games already so does that mean they have many more yet to announce? if so then greatness does indeed await us at E3

really good read they broke the data down to a couple of key point and while statistical data should not be used as proof it is still interesting to see how people have reacted to next gen consoles. i'm surprised that social media is mostly neutral it certainly doesn't feel that way on other internet sites but that may be caused by the varying amount of information about the next gen console. like she said in the article, comparisons can only be drawn as we are heading into E3 and the...

the tablet is not the problem for the wiiu and while the hardware is underpowered they proved last gen that they can still make an underpowered console successful. they had all the media attention and interest the only thing they are lacking is the games and third party support. being slammed repeatedly by ea and other developers like the just cause devs doesn't help either. they should have gotten some feedback from devs on their console when they were developing it in the end they made ...

a console that uses less energy doesn't make the gaming experience any better nor does it contribute anything to the lacklustre games library, if anything the only reason it is efficient is because it is woefully underpowered.

i don't care so much for the name wiiU but what REALLY annoys me is when nintendo decide to make game and stick a "U" after it like new super marioU, ZombieU and zeldaU those names piss me off more than the name of the console itself

lol and using DVD's is not dated at all is it? funny world we live in its as if history repeats itself sony proving nintendo wrong with the CD-ROM created the playstation brand and now again Blu-ray has been adopted as the new standard despite being trash talked by alot of people. i think many companies need to start learning from their mistakes some have already started and are making amends while others are sinking under the weight of their own arrogance.

its not about what's being shown its about ad revenue

EDIT: @Rrobba
"The Youtube terms & conditions state that the revenue made from advertising goes to the original owner of the content being shown in that video" but if you created the video wouldn't that make you the original owner? nintendo did not create the video they created the game shown in the video. if i was filming in a gaming convention or at a mall talking about the wiiU would the ap...

no i think this is nintendo's way of saying "ALL YOUR VIDEOZ ARE BELONG TO US".
joking aside why would a company struggling to gain new fans further put them off by not allowing them to freely share their gaming experience on the internet. this is either a really desperate attempt to make money or a d*ck move by nintendo as a sign probably of a new philosophy with regards to their business practices. i don't get it some people are making it much easier to share cont...
