piracy is piracy. you can't change that, there is still a large enough market on the pc to make it profitable. besides its really easy to develop for pc since devs make the game on a pc in the first place. in reality devs don't loose much by developing for the pc the only thing they may need to invest time or money in is making a good port (options menu,making sure it runs at high resolution,making sure it runs smoothly on high fps etc...) this doesn't require a lot of work and ca...
i can fully understand why sony would want versus to come out on their new console and why they would make it an exclusive. sounds promising but still mere speculation. only time will tell
good point but there is always a line of compromise between making a game realistically accurate and a making a game with good game mechanics that actually work and are fun. in F1 for example any contact could likely damage your vehicle beyond repair now imagine you are playing an F1 racing game online and some random noob crashes into you in the first lap and you can no longer complete the race, that would be pretty damn annoying. sometimes realism is not very fun thats why people create and...
i hope its something different and not goddamn zombies. maybe its like SAW (the movie) or something. i hope they get the survival aspect of the game right and not make the mistake of making an action horror rather than a proper survival horror
agreed but i still can't understand how people are paying to be able to play games (which they already paid full price for) online and on the internet connection (that they already pay for) microsoft offers nothing to justify charging you that money. the game servers depend on the game devs not microsoft so you will have the same experience with or without paying microsoft (for example when you disconnect from EA's servers its the same across all platforms). and when compared to ps+ a...
microsoft needs to understand that its not our internet service providers we are worried about,if you look at at other examples of always online drm its usually the game's servers that are down not our internet connection. not sure how i can trust MS to provide a service that will be on 24/7 for every day of the year when i couldn't even trust them to make a console that actually works during the early life of the 360.
also maintaining such massive servers will be very expensi...
really? i mean if i set out to buy a banana but there weren't any i would look somewhere else i wouldn't suddenly decide "you know what i quite fancy an apple"
on-topic: its still way to early if MS has anything to learn from sony is how successful they were despite launching a year late and despite the price tag and all the other mistakes they made. because sony provided a better service and a reason for people to buy the ps3 in other words a variety of exc...
"MS is loving the attention it's bringing them though. " why would they love negative attention? besides the HDMI in port and the tv services makes it more likely these rumours are true lets not forget the whole adam orth defending always-on is a sign that they may be considering it. anyways its better the rumour goes way overboard and people make a fuss so that ms doesn't do it rather than people be silent then make a fuss after it has already been done. every gamer hopes t...
@greyhaven33
its not negative you just precive it to be that way. also you make it sound like this game is reciving a lot of hate did you not see all the amazing reviews it got (most of which seemed to gloss over many aspect in the games that were lacking). there is much MUCH more news,articles and reviews praising the game than there are that criticise it or slam it you just seem to not accept any of the negative opinions or even consider them because you think the game is good you ...
its easier to develop for pc then reduce the texture quality, rendering distance and other stuff so that it runs on console then port it over. after all, games are developed on pc's for consoles. if you are making a game for the pc aswell it only makes sense to make the pc the lead platform then refine it to consoles rather than make a console the lead platform then having to redo all the textures in higher res all over again. the petition was really successful this is really good news.
its not negative opinion its criticism, if you don't let people know what you don't like about their game how are they ever going to fix it? besides if you like the game surely other people's opinions don't matter.
good point, while bioshock infinite as a video game is average at best as an art it is exceptional. big subject were tackled in the game and they were done right usually any other game which tried to touch on some of the subjects in bioshock infinite would have been instantly slammed not only by the gaming community but by the media too. i think this game is a very VERY positive thing for gaming. to be honest even the weaker aspects of the game arnt all bad the gun fighting is still fun all t...
@KwietStorm
he means that by inserting a ps3 disk into the ps4 the console can confirm that you have previously purchased the game and allow you to stream it of gaikai for free without paying for the service this idea was purposed as a solution to backwards compatibility by people online but it is very unlikely as they would of had to have made the ps3 games surrounding this idea from the start. it was just a suggestion/wish that some people have taken as speculation or even rumour bu...
i think its already been pretty much confirmed wherever you look. also some more interesting bit of news i happen to stumble across is that the next xbox games will ship on blu ray discs but you have to download them onto the hard drive (in other words you can't play from the disk)

it is well known that the DRM version of witcher 2 was pirated more than the non-DRM version. they won't waste their efforts anymore
it won't drop anytime soon. this is the first console Nintendo ever sells at a loss initially.
also the battery pack that presses against your fingers needs to be gone actually just two days ago i went to a friends house to play fifa, we tried to turn it on what happened? no batteries and we had to go out and buy AA batteries. my reaction "are you f***ing kidding me". that is one area that certainly has to improve other than that i was actually impressed by how comfortable it was the d-pad is annoying as hell though and when playing fifa the tactics menu kept showing up which...
i guess thats what happens when you upset the internet LOL. they had it coming.the devs,the hackers and the people who still defend this game (if any) are all as bad as each other they can keep at it for all i care
how they managed to make any game inferior to cod is truly perplexing
well i can sort of relate, what i found exciting is not so much the share button itself but the automatic video compression and decompression going on in the background and the dedicated chip for that. also the streaming possibilities as a result of that. the share button is just a neat feature which brings all these features together. personally my favourite feature is being able to switch off my ps4 at any time then continue exactly from where i left off next time i turn it on thanks to the...
