I own a PS3 and have recently enjoyed playing Heavenly Sword, have just picked up Warhawk with the Bluetooth headset (Getting completely pwned online, but its incredibly addictive!) and look forward to R&C:FToD being released in Europe this week. Thats Right, Im happy with my PS3.
But guess what? I'm buying a Wii just for Mario Galaxy because I think its going to be a cracking game, and I'll admit, BETTER ...
Back before the internet, eighties/early 90's, no game ever got a straight 10 (Or 100% as most mags rated in percentage back then). The first game I remember getting a 10 was FFVII on PS1 and that was after the internet had been "invented". Back in the day if a game got above 95% it was regarded "Perfect".

wageslave, 70's electronics was mostly made with chrome and Wood. That look was about again in a mimiced fashion about 5 years ago. The black thing is the mid 80's to mid 90's period. But there is a big difference now, shiny and rounded compared to matt and square of the 80's and 90's.

Bladestar, The PS3 has been more expensive than the Toshiba player for EVER! Where did you pull them mad facts? Toshiba released the player back in 2006 for $499 and have been steadily reducing the price to this bargain basement clearout price $99 (official $199) over that period. At the same time the PS3 has been reducing in price but its NEVER been cheaper!...
As I feared. Gaming on Consoles is starting to become like on PC's. The hard drive is used as an excuse to rush games out then patch them later. I hope this realy damages konami. I think it Looks fantastic, especially the water effects. Small touches like the bodies floating in the water look realistic. I admit the barrels explode a bit like they are made of nothing, but it could be a missing effect.
To judge the WHOLE game on 5 minutes of what seems like a transition scene is plain idiotic....
I remember blowing them edge connectors till I was blue in the face. Good old days! hehehhe! I later found that rubbing isoprophyl Alcohol on the edge connectors with a cotton bud worked a treat, the NES was just ruddy sensitive to the slightest bit of muck on the carts edge conn.

If it was you'd not need the tuners, it would be possible to put IPTV throught the ethernet connection already built into PS3. But you'd need a ridiculously high speed internet connection to get fluid HD so I guess thats why Sony have opted for hardware Tuners that are DVB-T SD and HD ready. You are basically turning your PS3 into a freeview box with bells and whistles.

Its all a matter of tastes, and Wipeout Pulse it at the top of my list because I love WIpeout. The comments here prove that its a good VARIED line up of games at least because everyone seems to be picking at least one or two and they are all different choices. My wife "Non gamer" owns 5 versions of singstar and along with her friends, they have a great laugh BEFORE going out to the pub and continuing the malarkey. Its a good pre-party or full on party game.
