Hit the nail on the head. I have a Euro Launch model PS3 and if it didn't have any form of emulation for the EE then it wouldn't work with PS2 games. This article explains everything much better than earlier articles that have somehow confused the whole issue.... maybe they did it on purpose to get hits.....

Otherwise all the Euro Launch 60GB and older MGS4 bundle USA 80GB PS3's wouldn´t run PS2 games. Those machines rely on the EE SOFTWARE emulation to work.

I'm quite sure Sony are improving emulation in the background as each new Firmware upgrade adds compatibility and small GFX glitch fixes as I have found. As recently as 2.20 My Euro Launch PS3 suddenly started running some PS1 games that it hadn't before also, so they are refining the PS1 emulation also. They just don't ta...

I wanted to see a camera on the Go (And touch screen). I have the original PSP camera and I can say that it will not fit the Go unless it has a standard mini USB connector somewhere. It wont fit the connector underneath the Go as its completely different. The only other thing they can do is release a seperate camera for the Go. It will be interesting to see how it will work..

This game looks great though! Its kinda like an offspring of eye of the beholder, looks good fun!

That Sega were doing stuff like this 10 years ago with titles like Seaman but never really got recognised back then. You could even say that the old DC fishing reel was a bit like the wii-mote. Sega released lots and lots of amazing peripherals and brought about some brilliant ideas.

Natal is a great idea, but I think because Microsoft have "invented" this new thing they sensationalise far above and beyond what it really is right now. Why did they bother showing it in...

And he kept asking me to play tis video again... and again... and again. He was mezmerised by it! Smiling broadly and really quiet whilst watching. That makes it a day 1 buy for me (my son).

This isn´t really as advanced as the body tracking in Natal is SUPPOSED to be. The PS eye (please don't call it eyetoy, its not an eyetoy, its much more than a bog standard webcam) can recognise objects and sound in 3D space, but its not full body motion like Natal.

And I a...

I guessed this in a newer news thread, just hadn't got to this article until now (I read N4G every day, newest posts first then stop when I recognise a story).

For me, this was the show stopper of E3. I can't beleive its mostly being overshadowed by nearly everything else. It might not look graphically as stunning as UC2 and the like, but its the physics that amazed me. Everything moves so realistically its too uncanny. It looks like Wind is especially simulated with extreme acc...

But what if they somehow manage to incorporate that tech into the standard dualshock 3? Remember all the rumours floating around about a "break apart" joypad for PS3? What if they manage to get the sensors smaller or even concealed inside? and then simply release a dualshock 3 shaped controller that splis into two pieces.......

Package that as standard with the future PS3 Slim and all you need is a PS eye.

All a bit heresay, but don't take those prototype...

But for me the thing that won if for Sony was The Last Guardian. That game alone wipes the floor with anything i've seen. I'm not talking graphic detail... i'm talking physics detail. That game is going to be AMAZING. I bet my bottom dollar that this is the game the BBC guy saw a year ago and couldn't talk about what it was....

Worked a treat for me. Just take your time and do exactly as the guy in the videos says, might be a good idea to watch them through first to see what you are in for. It will save you 150 bucks and time waiting for your PS3 to come back.

As far as these PS3 slim photos are conc...

I've finally decided to give it a go on my main machine. I had 8.10 running for a while on an old P4 laptop. Worked like a charm, love the enhanced GFX effects (wobbly window, minimise animations etc).

The most suprising thing with Ubuntu is how it works so well on old hardware. Also, updates are so seamless! try installing XP nowadays and then spend 2 hours messing around downloading updates, then restart and download more updates. I think you have to go through 3 or 4 restarts...

These two games are brilliant. Its very much the same principle. You probably have to "Activate" each instrument by playing good over a set time, then it will play in the back ground whilst you tackle the other instruments.

At some point you'll have to go back to the other instruments to keep them going. Imagine having 4 spinning tops spinning at the same time, at some point they'll slow down and you have to spin them up again... ah you'll understand if you've played a...

They mention that the father was allowing his 12 year old son to play GTA IV, but failed to catch into the fact that the game has an 18 rating. BOING!

Then yes, the PS2 DOES compete with the Wii. The Wii is a repackaged Gamecube (2001 tech) with a fancy controller. All Sony have to do is repackage the PS2 in a new casing, give it a completely different name, add the motion controller and it would be a cheaper alternative to the Wii...... If Sony had any money making sense they'd have done this 2 years ago, problem is, they don't want to make the PS3 seem insignificant.

The crazy thing is that Sony could have very easily done th...

But the keys are not very responsive. Once you switch it on you have to press a key and wait a few seconds for it to register keypresses. The keypad isnt backlit which is stupid. And the symbol shifting system (blue and orange buttons) are awkward. Its good for quick chat messages whilst sat gaming which is fine. Biggest drawback has to be lack of backlight. I never use the trackpad feature as using the dual sticks seems more natural in the web browser.

I downloaded it last night and its great! the challenges are hard, and have that just one more go addictiveness. reminds me of a blend of Zombies Ate My Neighbors mixed with Smash TV. Great stuff!

Made by the same folks. Delphine Software. So I don't think it copied anything ;) Back then (1991) the Rotorscoped animation of Another World (And later Flashback in 1992) on the Amiga was mind blowing. I remember fondly the first time I watched the intro to Another World.. WOW! That game started the idea of a cinematic intro in my opinion.

So Im very interested in the 7th seal :)

So no matter how good the specs of the Lindbergh are compared theres no denying the fact that the PS3 version of Tekken 6 will be Arcade perfect and the Xbox 360 version WILL be ported. So this might be the game that proves whether porting from PS3 architecture is good or bad. Lets see eh?
