But I think in reality the Wii is only technically capable of emulating Genesis. If they recoded Saturn and DC games they might work ok, but as VC (under emulation) I doubt it can happen. Saturn is actually MORE complicated to emulate than Dreamcast and needs a hefty PC to run games smoothly (SFF being the best emu out ATM). Both DC and Satrun could be emulated on Xbox 360 and PS3 I recon. Would be nice to see a Saturn collection similar to the recently released Genesis collection. HD and tro...
Looks like Sony are going to drip feed them out like the PSone games. I must say I like my new PSP Go, but if I want to play most of my current games I have to pull out my Phatty, which I don't really want to do anymore. Is it so hard to convert the whole back catalogue of PSP games and just dump them out there on the Store? It must be lots of legal mumbo jumbo holding them all up.
Thats what this article is saying. Some people have done what I would normally do. Bought the games through the PS3 store and when they have come to transfer the games to the PSP Go it wont let them. Which is absolutely ridiculous, there should have been some kind of block or warning if you try and download on PS3.
I was fortunate enough to notice that in the download instructions it said you must download the games through the PSP Go. I thought it was a little weird, but did it ...
Because I can't play my UMD version on the Go.
I'll really enjoy trading my UMD for virtually nothing and having to re-buy it as well /s
There should have been MANY more back catalogue games released the day PSP Go went on sale. And there should have been some kind of UMD conversion. I have 19 UMD games, under half are available on PSN. All are great games I want to keep and still play. I found out if I trade the 8 games I have that are on PSN now, I get enough for ...
And what they say is true. You HAVE to download them on the PSP go, and you can't later transfer them to another PSP or re-download on the PS3 to store them. All these things you CAN do with a normal Digital PSP PSN Store Purchase. This limit doesn't affect the Free Gran Turismo offer. That can be downloaded and stored on the PS3 or PC like all other PSP downloadable games.
This limit is only on the three free games. I personally store all my Digital PSP games on my PS3 so I can...
Its great, brings back the old Amiga vibe. More Amiga conversions please! Slam Tilt, Alien Breed: Tower Assault (and most Team 17 games generally) etc.
I'm buying the Go today, but I was expecting a hell of a lot more games in digital form. SCE originally said 400 to 700 games would appear on launch day composed of back catalogue and new releases. Barely any of the games are new, and there is no way NEAR as many games there as are already on UMD... where is Outrun 2006? We Love Katamari? etc.. These are games I love playing on my old Phat 1000 and seemingly can't convert to Go for free (which is bad enough, I have 19 UMD games, why should I ...
I wish more devs had the same idea. The games industry has become too reliant on franchises.
I'd love to see PD remake these. Either remastered PS1 versions and even a MTGP 3 made especially for the PS3.
It was a great machine. I hope one day Sega have sense to release a Dreamcast Collection on PS3/360. Look how well the Megadrive (Genesis) Collection has done.....
Finally.... instead of a portable PS2. GT PSP comes along made from the ground up with portable gaming in mind, you know something alot of games on PSP haven't had lately. A trend that made the PSP more a portable you play at home as an alternative to the Living Room console, not how it should be, on the Go.
Think this with GT5 on PS3 as the ultimate combo. Unlock cars on the go and have quick fix fun, then when you come home, upload the won cars to GT5 and play in full career m...
This is for a handheld machine, mainly played on the go. If you want career mode etc, then buy GT5. The reviews give the impression of more freedom of choice, no career as such but you can kind of tailor your gaming which is a great idea for a handheld game where you might be playing in spits and spats. I can see why its like this. Unfortunately its going to get compared to the console version on PS2 which is a shame, it should be reviewed as a HANDHELD game. People have been complaining for ...
Thanks
Nothing new to me. AFAIK its been in for quite a while. Last time I updated, the battery level was at half and the PSP was not plugged in.
You simply have to backup your old PS3 content to A USB HDD. Its in the User Manual how to do this (Althought its that easy to figure out, you almost don't need the manual).
I just bought PS3 Slim and did exactly this process lastnight. I did full backup though as I have shed loads of MP3´s and photos/videos. 4 Hours later I have my PS3 slim just as my old PS3 phat was. AND I swapped out my 320 Gig in a snap at the same time. It is true however that Game installs updates etc...
But have had YLOD for the 3rd time now in a matter of months. Its a launch machine and I love it. It YLOD 1 month over its 2 year warranty (we have 2 years standard in Denmark). I did the YLOD fix (basically strip the machine and heat up the Cell and RSX with a heatgun to reflow the solder).
I'm now in the position where I am going to buy a slim, but I hate that it hasn't got BC, I still play my PS2 games a fair bit, I even Play PS1 sometimes! I do have a PS2 slim but its like f...
Then PSN wins the crown? I don't get this article, surely it should be comparing single games, not whole services like battle.net and Xbox Live?
I was in Gamestop 2 days ago asking about the slim, its going to retail the same as the PS3 now, and he wasn't aware of the price drop so as far as they were concerned the PS3 will have a new model 1st September and thats it. I told him that Sony announced €100 price cut on the 18th and he just shrugged and said "Maybe the system isn't updated here" But this story may explain why.
But the problem here is we are talking about the PS EYE on PS3 (Eyepet will not work with Eye Toy). This is where Sony have dropped the ball. How many games have been released for PS Eye? A hand full, and When was the last one released? Nearly TWO years ago!
Sony suddenly decided that the success they had with PS2 Eyetoy somehow wouldn't translate over to the Core users of PS3... WHY? I don't know, but off the momentum of Eye of the Beholder and all the small PSN games that came...
I just wish Play TV would work with MPEG4 as thats what most of the rest or Europe use instead of MPEG2 in UK. Here in Denmark we are switching over to Digital next week (1st November) and this has already happened in Sweden. The UK is very much behind in terms of Digital progression, but has far more channels on Freeview. We can only see 3 channels through PlayTV in its current MPEG2 only state. Give it DVB-C and MPEG4 capability an I think ALOT more European countries could benefit from it....
