The biggest advantage of HDMI with PS3, the ability to turn on Full RGB and Super White. This improves the picture dramatically on a TV that can accept such a signal. If you have a fairly new HDMI port equipped TV and a PS3, don't even think about component.
I've had 160GB in my PS3 since day 1. It has all my MP3 collection, all my Photos and most of my movie collection (DivX), and some home camera videos on it. I've also got it linked to my Wifes Laptop so she can stream her stuff over through to the Big TV and stereo when she wants to watch a TV recording from Media Center for example.
If you taylor your PS3 to its full potential, its one hell of a media player. Not bad at playing games too ;) I'm just waiting for PlayTV to come, ...
Where is the Logitech G25 Steering Wheel? PS Eye even! The Newer Black Logitech Bluetooth keyboard? (And the up coming De Novo Mini. Hows about Dual Shock 3.... This should read "Most Useless Peripherals for PS3"
You're posting your own fanthread in a forum for PS3 users with screenshots from the biggest Xbox fanboy site, that were taken by a NOBODY random guy as a submission to N4G news? Anyone who does that is TRYING to prove something desperately.
This is complete propaganda at its fullest effect.
I can't believe people are saying "thats it, i'm buying the 360 version for sure now" based on this comparison, its ludecrous! if you say that, you never intended ...
The two pictures are completely off, but the text at the bottom is perfectly alligned. Don't you find that odd? Its soo easy nowadays to change or make a picture to your liking, I only EVER trust my own eyes with something infront of me in real life.
On my HDTV with Full RGB and Super White, DMC4 Demo looks crisp and vibrant as Fcuk... The GFX aren't anywhere near the best i've seen on PS3 though. Its not like WOW! I hit that with Uncharted, so now anything any lesser looks ok,...
HAHAHAHAHAAA!! How can you justify a comparison of HDMI to Component with a piss poor low res video from GT? And worse still, a video that was just a way of back pedalling the fact that they do all their comparisons on Component. They were trying to cover their back and say its ok to use component, when its a common fact that PS3 works at its BEST through HDMI. This video shows jack sh!t at this poor level of detail. I also think their HDMI capturing hardware DOESNT support the Full RGB and S...
But if it was me i'd not want to sell them at all as i'd probably loose more. I can't see Toshiba making any money on this venture. Anyways when you look at it deeper, its quite possible that Toshiba have nothing to do with it, its retail stock thats probably been dropped by the retailers themselves to clear them out. Toshiba has probably made its money already on these units.
You respect a company that is basically offloading all its dud stock on unsuspecting customers? Thats not respectful, thats shameful. I feel sorry for anyone who falls for this. I hope the employees in said shops have the decency to warn the uninformed of WHY they are so cheap.
Its both their faults. BT want their own STB in the equation and Microsoft let them do that. What SHOULD have happened is MS or BT made their own USB add on Tuner box to complete the missing part for the Xbox 360. All that the BT box has that Xbox 360 hasn't is the tuners. It seems ridiculous really that you have to have all that crap BT hardware strapped to the Xbox 360, it makes it a rather unelegant solution.
Realistically what SHOULD happen is BT stream freeview over IP, th...
Does your £80 freeview PVR allow you to watch one channel whilst record on another? i.e. does it have TWO tuners? also is it capable of processing a HD freeview signal (when they are available)? PlayTV will.
Not the software it uses. The disc uses completely new technology PHYSICALLY whereas HD-DVD is just a bastardised DVD with Blue laser tech.
The blue laser is narrower than red hence they can fit more data on a disc with the same tech as DVD, thats all HD-DVD is. Hence why they origianlly had an upper hand in price. You can make a HD-DVD disc with the same fabrication plant that makes DVD, but you can't do that with Blu-Ray as it uses a completely new tech.
It u...
Had mine since day one, and use it more than any other device ive ever owned.
Still, I wonder when they will allow me to buy PSP specific content on my PS3. Its a bit annoying having to load up my PC to check the Store content. In one sentence this guy is saying "PSP to PS3 connectivity is important" then in the next hes blabbing on about how its really cool to be able to connect to the PC store... and that they don't have any plans to change that.
I w...
And work with the Video feature of Skype too.
you specifically choose UK as your location. It seems its not available in all of europe for some reason. Its not here in Denmark thats for sure.
Mind you either way the Wii and DS Trounced all.
But seeing as its a Bloodmaks article its supposed to make PS3 look bad in 3rd. Well, in the Cristmas week, which is when Christmas is (Not the whole of December like this article is talking about) It was Wii First followed by PS3 (Hardware and Software) then a close third with Xbox 360. I say close because the PS3 and Xbox 360 are virtually neck and neck in terms of sales through over the christmas week Worldwide. But Bloodmask ...
Hows about old Saturn games for download along with PS1 titles? And even better, Dreamcast games!
Come on Sega, wads o cash to be made on this!
And Nights is a classic. Its nice to see Christmas Nights on there too as thats worth a bomb on Saturn now.
And the biggest Xbox 360/HDDVD fanboy and Sony Hater on this site.
with SSD HD update.. Well you can access your music collection at least :)
But you can see its possible to have access to XMB. The only difference is it doesn't show up album art.
Its great playing this game to your own music!
do you research ANYTHING before posting BS?
THESE IMAGES ARE OF PROTOTYPE WIIMOTE FROM 2001!!!
http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/...
I thought I'd seen those images before, and I remember Gyration had something to do with Nintendo early on in Wii development.
Once again you somehow manage to post complete sheite ...
Was the best game on Jaguar, infact, its one of the best games ever made IMO. AvP was good too, as was Doom, but the rest were tripe. The Jag itself was a great piece of hardware, just a shame it got into the hands of Atari (They bought the tech from Flair design who were developing it, Atari's own machine, the 32bit Panther, was scrapped in favour of the Jag hardware).
