Me too man. NFL 2k got me back into gaming. I wasn't a fan of Ps1 or Saturn consoles. It felt like a dark time for gaming. 3-D games were archaic and ugly. N64 was a little better but Dreamcast was like windshield wipers in a mud storm. Soul Calibur blew everything away. Shenmue was and still is one of my all time favorites too.
There is a lot of blind hate on the net. I loved Vanquish, being a fan of Contra and Gears, it's a nice change of pace. I would have probably avoided it if I listened to all the Debbie downers. It helped me respect Sega again a little.

Yeah I agree with you. I say anything against Sony or positive comments about something other than Sony you get debubbled. Also, people here overall, have absolutely no sense of humor. I once had 5 bubbles. People didn't like my jokes or possibly didn't understand them and took it as personal. Sometimes I think people think their company/console preference is like their own kid. Sports are my favorite genre. This generation was the worst of all time for the genre because of the lockdown on licenses. 2004 is probably where it peaked with lots of competition making innovative features. The absence of NFL 2k, NHL 2k, Ea's MVP baseball, and others have stunted growth. Madden is a broken mess spoon fed to college drunks that don't care what they play.

They should take that 150 million and use it to make HD 2-D classics like they did with Bionic Commando. Japanese game devs have been slipping trying to keep up with western devs. It's a no brainer Xbox will fail in Japan because Japanese value different entertainment. Turn based RPG games on handheld devices crush everything else on the market over there.
Why is it western ideology to have "sexy" characters? Rent some japornomation like la blue girl and watch how she handles them evil heavenly beasts.

It's a smart move. You know what the number one game played on 360 was during 2005? Halo 2. Halo 3 came two years after launch. Halo 2 probably saved 360 from an early grave because the really good games showed up late 2006.
I think MS should have just stayed with 360. Just make an add on to get more power. This way they wouldn't alienate the Xbox community by allowing people to keep the vast library of xbla games too. Like 32x but more thoroughly thought out. They still have not maxed out current hardware for 360 or PS3.
Too many games can be overwhelming. I'll take 3 good games a year versus 20 average ones. I still have 30 games for PS360 I haven't started yet. So many games too little time.

Revenge of Shinobi is awesome. You need to sit down and figure it out. Altered Beast? Where do you get that comparison? Nothing alike besides the scrolling. Road Rash 2 and 3 were the peak of that series. The PS1/Saturn games were mediocre. The N64 Road Rash was decent but that was about it.
