People bought the Nes when Master system was cheaper. People bought Ps2s when Xbox was cheaper. Games win console wars mot hardware.
Good I hope it dies soon so Microsoft will support windows gaming. Xbox is holding PC gaming back.
Wwf No Mercy HD, Shenmue 3, and Nfl 2k15.
Imagine if Activision got a hold of the WWE license. You buy it and all you get is John Cena, Triple H, Randy Orton, Big Show, the Shield, and Kane. You must by each of the other wrestlers at Toys R Us, place them on the portal, and then you can play as those wrestlers you buy.
Don't forget to download all the different Pay Per View venues!
Gaming is going downhill fast.
I was pro physical games. But now it's hard to care about it anymore when the physical copy you buy is broken and the fix is only available via internet access to download a patch. Skyrim among others has turned me against physical games and possibly gaming. I only download new games during sales and when previously bought physical copies go on sale I buy it and throw the physical copy on eBay. Gears 3 digital for $5. No brainer.
Devs made physical copies of games u...
No game has made me want anything to do with nextgen. Was really hoping for a fresh from scratch madden but what we get is basically PS2 madden HD. The licensing deals have destroyed sports gaming in general. The industry used to be about creative fun and now it feels like "how much money can we milk out of one release? Put half the game on disc and let them download the rest for another $40".
Shenmue is fantastic. One of my all time faves.
There's a Shenmue tweetathon every third of every month. Just tweet with hash tag #saveshenmue or #GiveYuTheShenmueLicense @Sega.
Hopefully one day we'll get modern versions with analog stck controls and HD graphics.
EA ruins everything. Look at Madden, NBA jam, NFL blitz, NBA live, etc... I usually avoid games with the EA logo unless I know the dev was independent of EA and only helped to publish the games like Bioware.
EA's personal devs seem like low end college kids making the games. The graphics are always behind the curve of current games, the front ends/menu systems are poorly coded and are sloppy and laggy, and most still play like they belong on the PS2.
...
Yes.
Or if NFL 2k ever comes back. I'm content waiting for real games. Call of duty is shit. Destiny is just halo with an excuse to rip kids off with dlc add ons. Sony's games are wannabe Nintendo and Xbox games. No hurry I'm a patient guy
2-D 32bit era games are still good but those early days of 3-D are just crusty crap. Saturn, 3do, jaguar, CDi, and Ps1. N64 is when things started to shape up and Dreamcast saved the world from Sony jaggies. I'll take the SNES or Genesis over PS1 all day.
Not until a true Gears of War 4 comes out.
Ps1 games are so gross.
Should say "madden rips off another 1.15 million gamers".
The community is split because Sony fans that never played Halo enjoy it.
The Xbox fans have been there done that and were hoping for something revolutionary.
Good game but it's not having the impact people were excited for.
My top 5 are:
1. Batman AC 360/ps3
2. Spiderman 2 xbox
3. Batman returns Sega CD
4. Xmen Sega Genesis
5. Spiderman Web of Fire 32x
The game is mediocre. I can't believe so many buy it blindly. There's a $40 season pass...makes me shake my head at dumb people getting suckered into such crap. Destiny will played about a couple months and forgotten like Tiftan fall. You'll be reading about Destiny 2 next march talking about all of the problems of the current hype train...meet call of duty/ madden syndrome.
Madden is so bad. Fantasy football is way better than madden
Meh, reskinned halo game with mmo crap thrown in. Halo has been boring since halo 2. I don't think gamers will play for very long when they realize it. The only people loving it right now are Sony fanboys that never played Xbox. New for them I guess.
I still play my Sega Genesis, Nes, Master System and Snes pretty regularly. Streets of rage, Phantasy star, Contra, Street Fighter 2, Road Rash 2, Mutant league football and Hockey. Love the old games.
I have stacks of gamepro and egm from 1989 so now I feel old.
If it wasn't for Gears of War and the Fallouts/Oblivion RPGs I wouldn't have cared for last generation.
The list seems a bit Playstation happy.
