I'd like to see them start over and stop using a core engine from PS2.
...the sheep will keep throwing their money at it though...
@kinjotakemura:
Have you tried to resell games as of late? Unless you're selling Goty editions, nobody wants old games in need of online updates, add ons, dlc, and most of the online servers are getting shut down making those copies of 2013 EA sports titles even more useless. Online patches for games have also killed value. Also who wants to resell a game to gamestop for $20 after you spent $60?
Keep your games. Go digital and enjoy that collection o...
I must agree. I'm a HDD whore now and have sold off most of my discs for digital versions during sales. I like to take my Xbox to friends houses and it's a lot easier to leave discs at home. Also having kids around I don't have to worry about discs being scratched. Physical media is pointless to hold on to nowadays with all the dlc, micro transactions, and add ons. The value of collecting physical games has gone down the toilet.
It's what I've learned here at n4g.
But yes, it was sarcastic but watch as more members see this blog the agrees will pile on.
AAA was meant as big budget title. Now it means only Sony first party titles.
I bought the master system in 1987 for double dragon. It was two players. Double Dragon 2 and River city ransom came out for NES and killed my thunder. Then I had Phantasy Star and I was king of grade school again.
Many hate the master system box art but it's very nostalgic for me and I love the cases.
Meh, haven't bought a new game off a store shelf since I got suckered into madden 25 last year. Xbla games and games for gold deals are adding to the backlog I'll never get to. Sonic All stars transformed was $7 last weekend. Gears 3 still owns my game time for now.
Just play it on 360 or PS3 for a season or two then try to go back to madden. It's sad how stagnant madden has become.
2k5 for life
@believe_games
2k8's game play was great. The features were too shallow.
If 2k8 had a fully customizable league and franchise mode, NFL would have dropped EA long ago.
2k football online smoked madden and it was always free
Localize Rent a hero number 1 and Segagaga for xbla!
360 4 life
I'm on now. Seems ok to me
The problem with Kinect was how do you create a game that allows for movement like running or walking to explore into a game world. King fu high impact tried. It was my favorite Kinect game. Most games you were stuck in one place or you're like an old on rails shooter type thing. Virtua Cop could be a Kinect game. Or Time Crisis for those that had playstation instead of Saturn.
You can hold a plastic light saber with Kinect. Works really well with fruit ninja too.
MS missed the boat with using the Kinect as a mech or robot controller...titan fall, pacific rim, or that reel steel movie would have been great ideas for it.
Shit, even a dlc add on for the fight night games would have been good. Even the Sega activator was great for boxing games...
NBA 2k, Nfl 2k5, and a handful of other visual concepts games load really fast and they mask the loading by letting you edit you're roster or listen to something in the commentary that's relevant to the match up...unlike madden that shows Tony Gonzalez in a chiefs uniform in a video that shows old footage from 2007. You can even skip through the game intro once it is loaded which is rarely more than 10 seconds.
I don't even watch the entrance for the wrestlers ...
I still go back to no mercy too. 75% of the time you're looking at "Loading..." screens. Loading since smack down on ps1.
Halo 2 online is all I care about the rest is bonus
Xbox and playstation mags with discs in the US were $10. Xbox dropped the demo disc and now charge $9. Pffft.
It's a great rental service. Nothing wrong with that.
Why are these indie month things in the blog section. It's spamming it up where user blogs are unseen on home page. Can't these be in the article sections? It's just annoying as blogs are the number one reason I visit n4g. If this continues all month I'm sure I won't be the only one getting frustrated by the flood. There are literally thousands of indie games and maybe 5% of those are worth a look.
Make an indie game tab for this or something.
