I agree, just being a Sega fan myself, I went out and usually bought up anything Sega published. I enjoyed Vanquish, Binary Domain, Virtua Fighter 5, etc...I bought just about every game they put out on XBLA and PSN. I was really appreciative when they released Virtua Fighter 2 because I can't find a decent version of it for MAME. Even the Saturn version pales in comparison to the Arcade version. It was a great surprise.
The absence of Sega on Xbox One other than Al...
Sega is barely relevant today. I really miss the old competitive Sega. They just ride Sonic into the dirt now. I'd love to see some old school games return like Phantasy Star, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe (that 2008 one sucked), Shinobi, they have a full catalog of killer apps that need that HD touch like Capcom did with Super Street Fighter 2 HD.
The Playstation Generation will never understand how important Sega was to video games.
Well, I used to be a sports gamer. I always had to have the newest version of listed games above. Now I can go a few years and nothing really changes. Back in the 80s going from Atari Baseball to RBI Baseball or Bases Loaded on the NES was a big deal then in the 90s Sega and EA went head to head with some of the greatest games of all time. Madden 94, NFL 94 Starring Joe Montana, World Series Baseball, Fifa Soccer, Evander Holyfield Boxing, NHLPA 93, etc... These games were all pushing th...
Yeah, it was the only way to talk parents into getting one.
Of course not. Back then there was more competition and many PS2 games are better than current versions of the same games. Madden is not as smooth as the PS2 2005 Madden and NFL 2k5 was also available. Then there was Blitz, NFL Street, 989 NFL Football, and that's just the football games.
It goes for Hockey, WWE, Baseball, hell even Virtua Tennis was awesome on PS2. (Tennis 2k2).
The industry now is in a rut where you're stuck with one companies ide...
It will install the game to the HDD. Same with Xbox one discs. That's why it's pointless to have physical games.
Also it's because bluray drives are too slow to play from disc.
You shouldn't need to cut so much damn legal tape just to play your old owned titles on new hardware. It's nuts.
Looks like my trusty 360s will be played regularly for another decade or so. No big deal. Another reason Xbox One is a tough sell to PS3/360 owners.
If they can get all the games on demand and the XBLA titles it's good enough.
I get patches on my rgh/modded 360 by using the transfer cable on my regular 360. It's really simple. You can also do it with a USB flash drive.
If they do that it would kill off 360 Xbox live. Opening it will lead to people trying to take down the network. I enjoy my rgh/modded 360 but I did it knowing I wasn't going to play that console on Xbox live. There's a free multiplayer app you can get for multiplayer if you really want to. I just have it for retro and keeping older 360 games on my hdd like nhl2k6, Shenmue 2, fight night 3, and others without the need for the discs. I can go from Streets of rage to Fzero, to Mari...
I keep my favorite games but don't care to keep everything. Mostly I like having the original cases and art for Sega Master System, Genesis, SNES, and NES. I keep some Xbox games that work on 360. Shenmue 2, kotor 1&2, Nfl2k5, etc...but I just don't have room for everything.
It only limits the sales. By the time this hits ps4/pc it's going to be marked down on Xbox one and a goty edition will be available. It only alienates the fan base by making it for one platform, timed or exclusive. It feeds the flames.
I didn't know it came out. Poor marketing and tablet games equal doom.
Kotor 3 would be just as big if not bigger than Shenmue 3 and FfVII remake.
Can't play elder scrolls online on the NA servers.
Wonder if they'll update older titles and delete his files or block them like EA did with Ray Rice and Adrian Peterson in Madden.
Thinking back now there are a ton of talented guys that never held that title:
Rick Rude, Curt Hennig, British Bulldog, Kerry Von Erich, Arn Anderson, Butch Reed, Ricky Steamboat, Sting, Roddy Piper, Jake Roberts, Jesse Ventura, Papa Shango/Godfather, Junkyard Dog, Ted Dibiase, Paul Orndorff, Scott Hall/Razer, William Regal, Bad News Brown, Jim Duggan, The Great Muta, Haku/Meng, Dino Bravo, Ken Patera, Koko B. Ware, Superfly Jimmy Snuka, and there are some good guys on the cu...
I was going to find that lol.
Ron Simmons beat Vader for the WCW title in the early 90s. Booker T. had it 5 times. And I'm just going off memory but Mark Henry had a small run with it as well. The WCW championship always seemed to be the more important title than the WWE/WWF one. I know that now people feel it's the WWE title but it's a toss up and sad that Ron Simmons, Booker T., Tony Atlas (Samba Simba), Ahmed Johnson, Mark Henry, and others weren't pushed to have the title. But the Rock is a great ...
I think Sony wants the PS3 to die. They realized it was a mistake from the get go to make it so difficult to program for and got bit in the buttocks for it. I still have my fat and I like it but I'm happy with the Last of Us being it's final shot at the world. It showed what the PS3 could do when the time was spent to optomize it.
It felt a lot like the Sega Saturn. Sega's first party games for Saturn were so clean and smooth. Virtua Fighter 2, Last Bronx, D...
A lot of sales were from faulty ps2s as well. PS4 seems to be much better quality. So it probably won't sell as many.
