It'll look awesome next to my Kensington Vii.

Everybody kinda treats it like a negative that Crackdown came with the Halo beta as if Crackdown was a terrible game on it's own. I don't see people referring to Infamous as " the game that came with the UC2 beta".

Ubi needs to release a new Rainbow Six Vegas and show these kids how it's done: no perks, no killstreaks, no noobery, just pure tactical combat. I would consider the casino map alone to be better than anything CoD has ever done.

Oh god no, it was just something I noticed because her hands are so prominently displayed.

The last 3 will be exploited into absolute absurdity. It's another exploit and noob-fest waiting to happen. Now you'll have people diving across the map shooting knives and sticky grenades at you while another camps in a corner with a camera, racking up napalm and exploding robot cars. Fun fun fun. /s

As far as I know, yea. I've never heard anybody else express an interest in it let alone even say it. I don't want to get into a racial discussion but certain things like this are just commonly associated with black people and that's the way it is. The author of this topic danced around it but it's obvious what he meant.

Don't forget the inevitable rape charges.

As for #3, just say "black people", we all know what you mean.

Good luck making an enjoyable game out of a protagonist I can identify with, I'm a currently unemployed, anti-social 30-something with a live-in gf and 2 cats who spends his days chain smoking, drinking coffee, surfing the 'net and reading horror novels.

Plus the fact that we all know Capcom doesn't have the greatest track record when it comes to PS3 development. Wrong place and wrong game for fanboyism like that.

I agree and disagree with you. What makes these games stand out is the fact that developers have been focused on "fun" for too long imo. That's why we've been in a rut playing games that are the equivalent of Atari 2600 games when it comes to plot and characters. The focus on "fun" is why 99% of fps' are nothing but Doom with better graphics. If I may use an analogy, we all want to have fun but sometimes alot of us crave a Godfather or The Road to balance out t...

In all fairness alot of the opinion pieces or top 10s is stuff alot of us are already thinking and at least here we have a forum for discussion. Frankly, straight game news would be boring imo because honestly not much really happens in the industry each day.

How can they still call these "limited" or "collectors" editions with a straight face? True limited and collectors items aren't sold by every retailer under the sun.

I'm no "fancy lad" but I find it tacky. Maybe because I'm a tad older and actually know what genuine emotions feel like, I much prefer the portrayal of sex in Heavy Rain or Bioware's games. The juvenile Porkys/Spike Tv s**t does nothing for me and is the reason why sex in games is such a controversial topic. I'm not 15, I'm not tittilated by sophomoric drivel. "Oooh a boobie!"

And this is why sony fanboys are among the worst: absolute douchebaggery like this.

This is probably the oddest comment ever on N4G but she has really nice hands. They look very soft & smooth.

I think I need to pick this up, it seems half-way decent and it's been so infuriatingly long since there were any space combat games on consoles. I absolutely couldn't imagine something like Wing Commander with todays technology but no dev out there wants to bother with it.

And you're a "poor" writer because your employers pay you what they think you're worth. See how that works?

I can't stand entitlement mentality in any way, shape or form. "Viewing art" is a privilege, not a right. It is not necessary to sustaining a functioning society. Go to a restaurant and tell the chef that the great dinner he spent years learning to prepare is only worth $5 to you. He'd tell you to gtfo. Same with games, if you don'...

I never understood people who buy a console and literally all they play/buy is sports games. Seriously, no curiosity about something other than guys tossing a ball around?

I agree. I think the reason that stuff like MGS4 worked so well is that everything fit in context of the game world. There are a few silly moments but the atmosphere and environments let you feel the "wrongness" of the game world, you can tell that things just weren't right.

As much as I liked Alan Wake the same criticism of RDR that he had can be applied. You set up this great story and atmosphere, yet you insert the silliness of fetching thermoses and book pa...

I think Heavy Rain and Mass Effect will push the bounds of interactive storytelling. I already crave the multiple paths, choices and outcomes that these titles offer in more games. They made me feel like an active participant in shaping the game instead of just a passive observer being told a story.

Those titles, as well as Alan Wake, showed me what's possible when developers have a true artistic vision as opposed to just producing "product".
