I only just discovered the "explore" mode after the whole weekend of running around and doing the Russia storyline and PVP. There is quite a bit to do, and its a refreshing pace from most MMORPGs because it is so streamlined. More of a lobby-MMORPG than a standard one, really. But I don't mind the convenience at the expense of the menial bs things that MMORPGs make you do.
He's obviously being hyperbolic, and I don't agree with him at all. However, video-games are a visual medium, and it is not unreasonable to expect 1080p/ 60FPS gaming--a PC standard for YEARS now--out of this generation's Playstations and Xboxes. Especially after a 7 year hardware cycle.
What's astonishing, is that people are shouting 1080p/ 60 as if its some sort of gold-standard for gaming. Really, its the minimum we should expect in 2013/ 2014.
lol I see that some folks still believe that 4K games are possible on these machines. I doubt next-gen (PS5/ X2) will even hit that. "Sub-4K" will be the new buzz word.
What are you talking about JB? MS added an HDMI in so that you could run a set-top through the X1. It was a stupid decision, not one that I endorse or had suggested. Not only that, but it took up valuable motherboard space and components. I said as much, and quite clearly, so your reading comprehension is at fault here.
@ lifeisgamesok, I know there's no point in rational discussion with you, however, most 360 fans just wanted a 720. Same ecosystem, same franchises, more...
I doubt Halo will get more than one season though, since MS is changing direction on their "programming" angle. Makes that whole HDMI in thing even more stupid in retrospect. Such a waste of silicon when all they had to do was add more power, and the core demographic would have been happy.
@John When you look at the NPD software data, it lists the platform that sold the most>least of a particular piece of software like this:
Watchdogs 900K (PS4/360/PS3/X1)
That's not exact, and I'm not too inclined to find the source or get a screencap, but it gives you an idea of how they lay things out.
@n4rc The only picture it paints, is that of the "next-gen" consoles, the PS4 is the only one with a healthy, constant, 3rd party attach rate. Any other speculation is unfounded.
The priceless bit is where he says "nobody in a HEALTHY state of mind..." Oh, the irony.
I think "2" is more likely. This is N4G, after all.
The source article does not match the crazy, fanboy rant in the N4G preview. Next time, don't mix your meds.
Edit: Whoever is approving this needs their privileges revoked; this is clearly not following N4G rules.
It was a really interesting game, actually. I preferred it to the standard Dynasty Warriors shtick.
Serious question, but do you honestly think that Tier 2 countries-- especially given that their marketing team literally was just gutted in Europe--will make any sort of an impact? Are we adding this onto the chalkboard now?
And I thought we were ignoring each other's posts :) Its better that way, since you tend to get all excited. If you can answer civilly, and without degenerating to your usual behavior, then by all means, let's continue this dialog.
NPD just answered with a "no". Why are we still having this discussion? The trajectory of each is pretty much set now, and with the Xbox marketing cuts, they won't be making any great inroads into EU. Japan is a write-off, I think we can all agree. Also, there was another story this morning about the larger mobile-patent purse strings that props up the Devices and Services Division being cut. Which explains why we didn't see any "megaton" exclusives announced at E3...
Screen-judder (read the article) should not be happening with an FPS cap on. I can only imagine the tearing and mess of the X1 version.
PS4 is a high-end mobile (laptop) GPU from 2012. Its low to middle price-point these days. Comparatively, the X1's GPU was a far dumber and dated decision. Yes, there are certain custom modifications to RAM and such, but nothing that will take either GPU all that far away from the cloth from which it has been cut. Truthfully, neither machine is really good for more than a 5 year cycle, although the X1 will be limping and bloody by the time it crosses that line.
Xbox TV division and 75% of its European Xbox team. There could be further cuts too, we'll have to wait and see what they announce before the 22nd (their quarterly report is due then). Its clear that MS is floundering for a product identity.
This article, however, is the purest sort of clickbait.
You can blame MS for standardizing that practice last gen. Furthermore, MS has no one to blame but themselves for betting on the wrong horse (Titanfall vs. Destiny).
Initially, the game sounded like a hot mess. But...after seeing that trailer, I'm sold!!! Its not nearly as Loli filled or offensive as I thought it would be. Has a Sailor Moon X Idol vibe to it.
Then maybe you shouldn't come into threads like this? It's like going into a sports game and asking people to calm down.
VGCs had them neck and neck last month, and look at how that turned out (PS4 was ahead in the US by 75k and that's WITH an Xbone price-cut). I don't know why this bs site still gets posted at all. You find more credible speculation on Gamefaqs.
