You need a strong userbase to sustain a brand. It should be VERY important to you that they keep a notable market share.
Others can, and probably would, come along. Competition doesn't have to come from Xbox.
That said, they're not going anywhere. 41-50m in a gen is enough to justify its existence.
You didn’t really think this one through. 😛
It proves no such thing.
Since you're attacking someone's grammar, the correct phrase would be "far superior to IGN" rather than "far superior than IGN". Always remember the fingers pointing back at you. ^_^
OT: There does need to be a little more control here.
Yuppp.
Your comparison makes no sense. You should just do more research. This isn’t news st all.
Those who knew it did. But, really, games inspire other games. Not hard to believe.
They killed Xbox in the beginning for a multitude of reasons and marketing was simply one of them. The early exclusive argument has, also, generally been irrelevant given most devices don’t launch with game changers (and the people claiming PS4’s first two years were just ‘mediocre’ clearly missed stuff like Bloodborne, inFAMOUS: Second Son, and Until Dawn).
Microsoft didn’t release anything Earth-shattering during those first two years (nothing coming anywhere near the cul...
I always love how Sony's properties are shared and explored by other teams like this! It is particularly awesome when you think about the engine they're using!
I don't normally comment on these, because they are aplenty and usually are based on nothing more than hopes and dreams, but this is just sad now. Everyday, another one of these articles, simply using whispers from some of Microsoft's plans and nothing from Sony (a good thing, them keeping quiet is how they were able to initially get a leg up with the PS4).
Hang on for the ride, though. It is clear that these will continue. But, they will surely make for great sourc...
Being the 9th best selling platform is hardly something to go gaga over. That's a lot of devices ahead of it, despite this being Microsoft's 3rd gen doing this. Is it a total failure? I don't know what the expectations were, but I'm not about to say it is "great" either.
Never mind Uncharted. It just needed to work. The first games was headed in the right direction, but from there, I feel they lost focus. Personally, while I MUCH prefer the old Tomb Raider series, I wouldn't mind them giving another crack at it. They just need to shy away from the 'blockbuster-that-needs-to -rival-Uncharted' and get back to the basics.
Amen.
I never argued in favor of acquisition. I said it was a non-story that Phil Spencer is excited for their future.
It was reported by quite a bit more sources than VGChartz, though.
Nope. Multiplatform is where they belong and where they plan to remain.
People speculate that the Earth is flat. Means nothing.
OT: Since Sony is also excited for their future, this is a non-story. But, good luck to Bungie!
And yet, the device that focused more on multiplayer remains light years behind...
@travis: Well said!
