No, Microsoft has never been quiet. They are absolutely right.
OT: People seem to forget Sony went quiet just before the reveal of the PS4. We saw what happened there. There are much more strategic than they get credit for and I'm confident it will pay off again.
Excellent post!
You can be up in regions and down WW.
OT: Of course the consoles will decline (particularly PS4 as it has been HUGE all generation). I expect the PS5 to dominate yet again (at least between itself and Xbox ~ don't know what Nintendo has planned). Exciting times ahead!
Getting attention is one thing. Getting more than a platform that continuously provides ultimate levels of content and quality is another matter altogether.
Quoting a 2012 article while using common sense. You, on the other hand, live on hopes and dreams. Cage is happy working with Sony. The writing is on the wall.
They said the news was exciting, so that totally eliminates a Microsoft acquisition. ;P
Nope. They have a working relationship with Sony and are far more likely to be acquired by them (especially since they said they'd be down for it: https://gematsu.com/2012/03... Your best bet in hoping to play Quantic Dream's games is to buy a PlayStation. :P
OT: Definitely getting the acquisition vibes, which totally makes sense! Been a long time coming!
Uh, no?
OT: GT has always been the tech pusher in driving games. Looking forward to GT7!
Nothing to refute anything he said? That’s telling.
OT: Yeah, Xbox continues to struggle with games. After 3 gens, this shouldn’t be the case.
Yeah, thankfully PS4 has that covered too. :)
@blackblades: I'm not sure I follow.
Yeah, might be the dumbest question I've seen asked in quite a while. As with all consoles, the games are what truly sell it.
@King_Noctis: Uh, yeah, Nintendo IS a legit competitor to PlayStation. They actually make games that push the industry forward. Like Sony. It is, once again, Xbox that could bow out and it wouldn't hurt the other two in a substantial way. No, they are not necessary.
If you ask me, bring back SEGA. They knew what 1st party content was all about and constantly released plenty of games (again, like Nintendo and PlayStation).
@King_Noctis: It's a good thing no one said that Sony didn't need any competition. And you make person number 2 that cannot discuss things without making it personal. That says a lot.
For being nothing more than 'a print on the screen', you sure are getting worked up about it. But, you're checking out, so let the water under the bridge continue to flow. ;P
I didn't say Sony didn't need competition. I said it doesn't have to be Xbox. And, the 'real gamer' talk wasn't misquoted. You simply shouldn't have said it. No such thing to begin with. It is a superiority complex and little else.
So, not confused nor ridiculous. That is just how bad your post read. ;)
Sony doesn't need Xbox as competition, though competition, itself, is good. But, let's not pretend that Playstation was in dire need of someone like them when the PS1 (and 2) existed either without them at all or with very little input.
As for this 'real gamer' talk, you can be one of those and still not care for Microsoft.
He just called his opinion a fact. That is all you need to know.
IGN's too!
Damn that Spider-Man, just niching its way along! :P
