It’s called having a vision and a known pedigree. With Sony, PlayStation gamers know what they’ll get and this is why their systems are held in such high regard.

In 2017? No, it did not.

I love hearing that! Means they will FOCUS on those new experiences that many of us buy new consoles for in the first place. It is the bread and butter of console gaming, after all, and why the years of the NES, SNES, Genesis, PS1, PS2, etc... are regarded so highly. Yes, you'll always have cross gen stuff, but it shouldn't dictate your NEXT genonsole.

Issue is, this kind of comment is what some feel and take a joke and try to spin it. In addition, this is month's old news.

Truth is, these 'upgrades' really aren't anything special (particularly for those of us that can already run the game north of 120fps) and the few visual changes could easily be added to the PC.

Uh, no. Higher framerates are simply better. Much better. You can't "overrate" that.

2072d ago 22 agree0 disagreeView comment

Yeah, you want high frame rates? You join us on PC! Otherwise, I expect next gen consoles to still provide a visual punch between 30 and 60fps that will more than satisfy most people.

Issue is neither your rig nor the NVMe. The game wasn’t made to take advantage of the speed (most things aren’t). I’ve got two 3.5 Read/3.3GB Write NVMe drives and performance in game loading is no different from my older 560MB SATAs. That’s down to the games themselves.

Going forward, I expect more of them to start recommending these faster drives and that’ll be thanks mostly to the PS5.

They are both equivalents of entry high-end machines. Still far below the best PCs out there, but both very capable devices that are extremely close in overall compute.

But it’s good to see him put in his place. :)

In any event, I love all the positivity surrounding this console!

It very much does, but opinions and all that.

Indeed.

Back Compat is not the same as a PS5 launch title. One is inclusive.

You're only restricted by your means (or desire, poison pick) to deny yourself the platform these things are available on. Exclusive doesn't mean you can't obtain it (in fact, it WANTS you to obtain the platform it exists on).

Otherwise, beg Microsoft to make a VR headset for the Xbox.

2089d ago 12 agree2 disagreeView comment

Indeed. That’s why you have to basically tune most gaming media (and the gamers who mimic their nonsense) out.

Naughty Dog told the story they wanted to tell. Don’t like that? Don’t buy their games. Simple. Me? I’ll continue to buy them.

Uh no. It isn't.

Did you read what he actually said? He's talking about the difference in hardware and he's absolutely right. They are as close as home consoles get in terms of power.

2094d ago 14 agree3 disagreeView comment

Well said, but who you're arguing with will never concede to the good points that you've made.

I feel like we had silly articles like this when the PS4 launched (along with nonsense like this: https://arstechnica.com/gam...

In other words, most of these kinds of articles are best left ignored (I came to the comments without even giving it a click because others already summarized it for me).

No, it needs to be Horizon: Forbidden West.
