@DarthMarvin
Evidently not, since Naughty Dog’s most successful games were not written by her.
I say that as a massive fan of Hennig’s and whose favorite Naughty Dog game was mostly down to her writing (Drake’s Fortune).
Though the article is both informative and heavily repetitive and drawn out, it stresses the ‘non-leads’ that have left. More importantly, Naughty Dog addressed this in more recent interviews...

I’m not too worried it, particularly with Druckmann’s promotion and his tackling of this critical issue.
Tell us, how many left?
REDUCING the number of consoles available to play all games on one platform is a good thing?
100% agree.
“However the gaming industry has rapidly grown globally and is still drastically changing all the time. Day by day, living in these times, I have felt the need for a substantial change to pursue my own ambitions. This is why I have decided to become independent”.
“ Still, SIE was a very good environment, so I was not able to leave the office until now, but this year there was a big change in the environment in the industry due to the coronavirus, so I thought that if I were...
@Vegamyster
He understands Sony’s aim for the mass audience and he’s after something else. That isn’t “I want to make this and they stopped me dead”.
“ However, rather than chasing mass audience appeal, Toyama says his games "choose their audience, in a way".
A broader aim =! a forced retention. He’s also able to make it on his own and has high respect for them (as per Japanese articles on this subject).
@Vegamyster
It is not implied that Sony denied him, rather, he wants to make games on a smaller scale than what Sony is after. His visions weren’t being stunted by them, he simply is choosing a smaller budget to reach said vision. That’s the difference and they get the benefit of the doubt given their track record.
Eh, the article states that he simply wanted to go it on his own, not that Sony held him back or kept him from making what he wanted (something they are known to allow their teams to do).
Like the great proclamation in the title, right? Like your reply which doesn’t even tackle the topic?
No, it isn’t.
Interesting how you left out things missing from the Series X (like Wi-Fi 6) while also not understanding a few technical details (like the PS5 having a faster GPU despite the X’s having more CUs - an advantage we’ve yet to see make any tangible difference when up against the Sony’s machine).
Also, typing “lmaooooooooo” clearly illustrates that you’re low on clues.
Um, people are idiots for comparing parts of a console to another? Sounds some self reflection is needed here.
No. Let GTA remain GTA. That’s what made it so successful in the first place.
Currently playing on PC and actually liking it a lot. Definitely one for old schools fans of horror who grew up with stuff like Alone in The Dark, the old RE games, and the early Silent Hill titles!
That or give it a much needed break.
No, it doesn't and THAT is okay.
Yeah, he knew exactly what he was doing. That said, he's also better ignored, because he got just what he wanted out of mentioning Halo (post history and context matter) — for people to respond to him. It is classic trolling. Hit that report button and let's bring it back to relevance.
OT: God of War did some work for PS4. Not doubt Ragnarok will be huge on PS5!
I get the preference, I’m just saying it doesn’t have to be them ;)
Um, sales wise, Uncharted, Spider-Man, Last of Us, and God of War meet and exceed Final Fantasy. GTA is an anomaly and no console manufacturer has a project on that level.
