On consoles, maybe. Whole different world for us PC folks, particularly those of us with RTX cards considered high-end, such as my outgoing TITAN RTX.

In any event, I tried to tell console fans that this 60-120fps train would eventually crash as the gen progressed and games started to get more demanding. While Village isn’t the most advanced, expect to see this more as devs push fidelity over frame rate. That’s just what sells!

Not saying much when EVERYTHING new is sold out everywhere.

We’ll see what happens when things begin to stabilize.

You're a developer, eh? What games have you worked on and what company? Out of curiosity. I mean, other developers disagree with you, so I'm curious as to why you're so sure a game built with actual SSD tech in mind won't show much difference to a game with it added on.

Quick Resume is NOT better than faster load times. It is an addition to a device. This is on top of the fact that the PS5 starts games fast anyway. Yes, Quick Resume is a nice feature, as I use it often, but that's where we can leave it. PS5 will eventually see a feature like it and everything doesn't have to be a this vs that.

Thank you. It does indeed get very annoying and it is usually a specific group! Clearly some sort of infe...

I wouldn’t say Resistance looks a PS1 game, relative or otherwise, but I agree with your sentiments nonetheless. This does NOT look like a PS3 game. Really, it’s the first trailer that’s truly selling me on Quantum Error. The gameplay looks satisfying enough (reminds me of old school PC shooters - which is a very good thing)!

You mean 'credible' and you lack it.

Why comments like these go unmoderated is beyond me, but alas.

In any event, congrats, once again, Last Of Us! Just keep racking them up!

Man, the 90s! My teen years! Crazy to think what gaming was then and how fantastic it was!

@darthv72

Or maybe you're just poor at presenting said joke ;)

In any event, all I see is companies going after what works in the given time. Not particularly a 'trade'. Why they're choosing to call Xbox LIVE 'Network' now is anyone's guess.

Uh, why would it?

Don't forget some of last gen's Guilty Gear games as well. Besides, the fighting scene is biggest in PlayStation. This move isn't really too surprising from them.

And this is what I say often — Xbox has more hyperbole surrounding it than any other brand. "Xbox will win even when it's losing".

Of course it will lose handily to the PS5, but if this helps the author feel better about himself, sure.

Sony very well could afford to. Some of y’all need to do some research.

Must admit, this is the best comedic nonsense I’ve read in a while. Bravo!

In any event, it is simply down to how the data will be processed by each device. A non-story.

Um, sales wise, Uncharted, Spider-Man, Last of Us, and God of War meet and exceed Final Fantasy. GTA is an anomaly and no console manufacturer has a project on that level.

@DarthMarvin

Evidently not, since Naughty Dog’s most successful games were not written by her.

I say that as a massive fan of Hennig’s and whose favorite Naughty Dog game was mostly down to her writing (Drake’s Fortune).

Though the article is both informative and heavily repetitive and drawn out, it stresses the ‘non-leads’ that have left. More importantly, Naughty Dog addressed this in more recent interviews...

I’m not too worried it, particularly with Druckmann’s promotion and his tackling of this critical issue.

REDUCING the number of consoles available to play all games on one platform is a good thing?
