Enlighten - what wish was that?
I could be just as critical and ask if you are that naïve to really think Phil and co. want to bring everything to everything (this includes PlayStation). As they create exclusives from the multiplatform publishers they've purchased, it gets harder to believe that. Again, I know why, business is business, but goose → gander in regards to the question of naiveté.
In the meantime, yes, I can believe Square would be willing to skip Xbox regarding FF, as they woul...
I don't have a horse in the race. I'm pointing out what people are taking issue with. Had you not made the baseless FF claim, I'd have no issue with you at all.
To what's relevant — when Jim Ryan DOES have an opinion, particularly one he backtracks on, he'll be called out for it.
Regarding "figuring it out" — you simply listened to Phil Spencer telling you he wants to bring all their games to every platform, yet, has exclusiv...
FFVII Remake never had any Xbox version. If they did, prove it. Otherwise you're blowing hot air.
Can't speak on XVI, but both games are irrelevant since Sony never made any claims top the contrary. The issue isn't games being pulled. It is Microsoft claiming they wouldn't do it.
Thank you.
Microsoft can claim all they want that they weren't going to make it exclusive. Without this interjection, you'll never know. So, it's pointless to claim that. We can very well speculate what will happen after ten years, however, because of Microsoft's own words just a few days ago.
What we DO know is the CMA wanted remedies to ensure its passage doesn't mean a removal of COD's biggest platform.
*Releasing also on PC
And 1st party/3rd party = irrelevant. One platform is one platform, and this year, between PlayStation and Xbox, only PS5 has games releasing solely on it.
The Xbox won't have any exclusives (games releasing on PC are not exclusive → Final Fantasy XVI and Spider-Man 2 will both only be on PS5 in 2023) and you have no idea what the Metascores will be.
Then ….. go somewhere else.
Which would exclusively hurt Microsoft's pocket in a bigger way regarding COD than anything else. They clearly know this and that is another reason they aren't going with what you're proposing.
Well, yeah, sure, many PC players are PlayStation owners too.
The deals are merely a reaction and mainly a hopeful aid to push the acquisition through. They are not Microsoft suddenly becoming everyone's friend.
Not for a PlayStation.
What’s debatable about that statement?
@Imalwaysright
Perhaps "entire formula" is a bit of a stretch, but you go and watch the videos of the Tomb Raider reboot and hear the devs express their inspiration from the Uncharted games. Hell, the games themselves do the talking. Yes, they still pulls things off that the Uncharted games don't (and that's great), but it is obvious where they took inspiration from. The reboot series is hardly like any of the original games outside of setting and name and...
Drake is also an industry icon. Lara simply has time behind her, but the Uncharted games could have stood the test of time as well. Lest we forget Tomb Raider’s entire formula was changed to be more like Uncharted.
Lara Croft or not, the series was getting stale.
Um, no.
No proof at all that Sony paid to keep those games off other platforms. The PS2 was the IT console, much like the PS4, so they had much less to negotiate when getting exclusives.
Reminds me of Europe. No one beats PlayStation there.
In any case, credit where due. PS5 is doing better than both of its predecessors. And, unlike Switch, doesn’t have a handheld attached to it.
What fan said that?
