Because the only time Xbox stood a fighting chance is when Sony harmed themselves. A steamrolling PlayStation means Xbox gets its ass demolished. It will always be that way and they know it.
At the same time, they can still do better than they are. That’s a whole other issue that has nothing to do with
PlayStation.
Eh, the PS2/4/5 dispel this myth that somehow, Sony is better when Microsoft is ‘snapping at their heels’. Xbox only got a foothold with the 360 because Sony had to screw some things up first.
Otherwise, it’s business as usual for PlayStation as it demolishes Xbox gen after gen (Xbox is getting beat worse in their best region than last gen despite having a better machine). When Sony is bringing their A game and Xbox starts getting serious Ws on them, then we can realistical...
I cut you a break a few days ago, particularly after you expected Redfall to score well, but here you are yet again making the Metascore mistake. Don’t let your mouth write checks that your ass can’t cash (at least in the case of Starfield). Forza will likely score very well, yes. Still means very little when stacked against behemoths like Final Fantasy and Spider-Man.
@arkard
He’s made that nonsensical comparison before. He’s trying to “stick it to Sony fanboys”, even though “he’s a Sony fan”. Meanwhile, he deliberately picks fights with Sony fans while defending people who deflect from just about anything negative you say towards Xbox.
Thus, don’t waste your energy.
OT: Agree with this @NLink0714
"I didn't attack anyone"...
That entire comment is riddled with nonsense! Attacks on a lot of N4G users, conspiracies, and generalizations. It's the epitome of a tantrum.
One thing to have a preference, but when it becomes THAT personal, no way you can deny attacking people.
The issue for Microsoft is consistency. That’s the main, important, industry weakness. Not whether or not they match a competitor, as there will always be one that is better than another.
I wouldn't expect them to match Sony. It's clear that that will not be happening (and it doesn't need to). They just need a consistent level of quality.
No.
That said, it is a wonderful experience! My favorite FPS in a long time Sure!
Why post? Ignore it if you want to move on.
For them to do what they did to the PS3, Sony had to cooperate (as in, screw things for themselves to even give the 360 that chance). When Sony is on their A-game, Xbox stands no chance.
Eh, there will be competition, with/without Xbox.
The biggest concern is if said competition can get in there and be meaningful to the medium, regardless of Nintendo or Sony (who know how to do it).
Well said!
It has a 1-5% chance at a reversal IF the EU gives it the thumbs up (and I'm being generous). It's about as close to dead as the horse as you can get.
Or it could turn out fantastic and we shouldn't take the Pessimist's Pill at every turn.
Obscure, I give you the utmost credit here. I know we tussle, but to see this honestly bother you, and you having the guts to speak up, gives me a whole new respect for you!
Actually, I’ve seen him condemn the game. It’s in one of the review articles, but have to credit him there!
When serious Xbox fans are not happy, somebody done goofed!
And yet, Sony releases GOTY-tier games plenty.
He was right, Sony and Nintendo don't have an issue with consistency. They constantly release bangers. Only one manufacturer has THIS bad of an issue.
On its own, no. Xbox would likely average 50-55 million most of the time.
However, compared with its predecessor, which sold 30+ million more, it definitely flopped. This is on top of the fact that it failed to capture the mindshare of the 360.
If early leaked reviews are any indication, even reaching 80 will be an uphill battle.
Sounds to me like the rent free living is affecting YOU more than anyone.
