More like continuing.
Yep, similar thing happened to PS5.
I didn't "play coy". I gave you set of facts and you danced around them like an elephant dealing with a mouse.
You didn't give a single fact.
I'll give you one — companies strike exclusivity deals (Microsoft is certainly one of them). Another? Some even buy WHOLE PUBLISHERS to compete in this arena.
Those are the facts. What ever it is you think Sony "deserves" for doing what your favorite team has also done is irrelevant in the scheme of business.
This might be the most ironic comment I've ever seen posted on this site.
"disgusting exclusion agreements", "play fair"
You can't make this up.
@Orchard
What's irrelevant are viewpoints that have no basis in reality and are cancerous. With that nonsensical thinking, I guess Perfect Dark is also irrelevant.
@Orchard
Yes, because Ratchet (oops, not quite), Killzone (nope again), inFAMOUS (dammit, you neither)..... point made. Not every Sony exclusive comes to (or has come to) PC.
Xbox desperately needs more exclusives PERIOD!
Sony isn't doing games or hardware? I think you might have fallen into LaLa Land and need a way out.
Sony owes them nothing. That's not even how business works.
"You 'contracted' with us, so you should help us in our legal fights? Did Microsoft ever help Sony in any legal battles?
Regarding Orchard losing bubbles — posting is, and should always be, a privilege here. Nothing wrong with a different perspective, but I'd suggest a serious review. He's a deliberate troublemaker that generally offers nothing but needless controversy, derails topics, etc. It is a not a simple differing of opinion (plenty of folks here do a very good job of displaying how to do this). A return to the bubble system would ensure he has minimal chances of wreaking havoc.
Agreed. What they have now just doesn't cut it, pushing out the worst Halo games ever created (at least when compared to Bungie's, which mops the floor with 4-6).
More power to them if they can find their footing!
@CantThinkOfAUsername
That's fine, but unique sidesteps the point. The PS5 has bigger games released to this point, making a bigger impact on its situation. Beyond that, I see nothing that stands out on PS4 over PS5 regarding "uniqueness".
To keep this realistic, we have to compare Nov 2020 to Nov 2023 vs Nov 2013 to Nov 2016. Of course, we don't have a full third year for PS5 yet, so we're gonna compare Nov 2020 - Nov 2022 and Nov 2013 - Nov 2015.
PS5: Demon's Souls, Ratchet, Last Of Us Part I, God Of War, GT7, Miles Morales, Horizon FW, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade
vs
PS4: Killzone: Shadowfall, LOU Remaster, InFamous Second Son, Bloodborne, The Order,...
It's always a "but Sony Too™" with any blunder under Microsoft. It's like you just can't criticize them without resorting to mentioning Sony. I honestly give you as much crap as I do because you are the standout here. The ability to be bipartisan is there, you just choose to see things through green glasses. So far, we have NO layoffs at Sony, in the gaming sector. Or Nintendo, for that matter. Only Microsoft. It's a big deal and bad news for a whole lot of people. P...
Exactly
Its handheld capabilities help that quite a bit. Nintendo knows this, so I imagine their next machine(s) will also be like that.
"lol" - yep, you have no argument.
Whether he "cares" or not doesn't really matter. It was a question they didn't (or couldn't) answer. I'm sure Sony will reach out if they're looking for approval from either you or him. :)
The "how" was simple — PS2 was the better console. More games, better games, better movie player, etc. It was a weaker system technologically, but we know that's not always what matters (in fact, it rarely does).
As for what means much — the competitor refuses to release solid numbers. So, you can blame them for a lack of a proper comparison.
