Several games have done a fine job of implementing it and it is certainly not a gimmick at all.

The PS5's graphics card can hit higher clock speeds (1.825 GHz vs 2.23 GHz), which is where some of these minor advantages come from. It does make a difference.

The CPUs also make a difference. The Series X's is clocked higher (but it's fixed), while the PS5's runs a variable speed. This is another advantage for the PS5, because it runs on constant power, but the clocks will
vary depending on workload, offering superior efficiency.

If you're worried about the "real deal", why question the company who has actually been putting out games/accessories left and right? It just strikes as desperate for clicks and out-of-touch with what's actually happening right now.

Then again, this ridiculous article will be fun to revisit later in the year when Sony continues breaking records and Spider-Man 2 is mopping the floor with everything in its path.

Is this really the route you want to take? The Series X is the more power machine. It should win ALL of these, right? Ask yourself why that is not happening. Hint: it never looks bad on PS5 if its competitor takes these head-to-heads, but it ALWAYS looks bad for the Series X when the PS5 is the one to go with.

@Godmars290

The best Xbox ever sold was around 84 million (360).

It just means that Sony is smarter with their decisions any money. Irrelevant who can “eat” the cost. After this many hens in this business, they shouldn’t be bleeding like that anyway.

Where did Sony hype up Haze to be a “Halo killer”?

1069d ago 5 agree0 disagreeView comment

Nope. They licensed it to Supermassive for Until Dawn.

I agree with your sentiment, but they go hand-in-hand. Once a company leaves a bad taste in your mouth, you aren't going to desire their products (or may desire them much less than before). And he clearly isn't alone. Xbox's numbers are down all around. That tells me what the public thinks.

In 2023, they have their work cut out for them. If nothing changes, they will eventually fall into obscurity with Nintendo and Sony continuing to truck along doing what they...

Exactly. Xbox cheerleaders can drive around this road block all they want, but nothing matters more than this! When they start releasing their OWN games, we can start to credit Microsoft with a contribution to accelerating our medium. Until then, they're simply making useless noise.

PS5 + Switch + PC. But, close enough :P

@Lightning77

In other words, outside of publisher acquisitions, they have not really attempted to compete.

And "whining" happens on both sides, so I hope you are just as entertained when people bitch and moan about moves Sony makes.

Name the times they’ve “played victim”. I’ve watched you make a lot of noise the past few days with no substance. Put up or shut up.

Name a single game? Rift Apart.

Any other nonsense you want to talk? You try to justify paywalls while blaming Sony for $70 games. Get real!

The Switch is leading the PS5 because it launched three years prior. PS4 won last gen is all forms (money made, units sold, software totals).

No hate for Nintendo though, as they are another company who actually puts out quality games in high numbers, but just a little perspective.
