The Series S is already orders of magnitudes cheaper than the PS5. Price isn't their issue.

They WERE timed exclusives. Unless you were living under a rock, those games didn’t come to PS3 until way later!

So, yes, facts are straight 😛

1002d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Wrong. The 360 generation was full of timed exclusives, for example. Bioshock, Mass Effect, etc. All were timed exclusive. There is no innocent party in the gaming industry in regards to $ exchanging hands.

You may as well accept that.

There is no "evening ground" because Xbox has participated in those same tactics — and this is why it's so bad to be so skewed. You literally excuse one and condemn the other, when they both had their hands in the cookie jar. Makes talking to you about this subject pointless.

"I don't know why you guys try this hard to paint this picture of Sony being this holy saint of the industry, but it's really ridiculous"...

Um, no, no the Switch isn't. It's as if you came to this article with the numbers posted and decided to expose yourself as ignorant.

If that was the plan, you succeeded.

You're in denial. Bethesda's games, many of them, have been pulled from the platform (Redfall — one of the very games you spend a lot of time defending around here, is one of them).

Everything else is fluff to you acknowledge that.

Um, I didn't make a single "excuse".

Now, with that nonsense out of the way, it remains simple. Their (Sony's) acquisitions haven't pulled games from anywhere. In fatc, they are the only ones who haven't. Their purchases can't be compared with the likes of Zenimax, for example. They just can't.

As far as Microsoft "allowing studios to create what they want", so does Sony. So, it's a moot point.

What's the difference in acquiring a publisher who has many, MANY IPs AND studios vs acquiring just one studio? Does this really need to be explained to you?

1003d ago 12 agree1 disagreeView comment

@Obscure_Observer

You clearly don't have a clue. I won't even waste my time explaining it to you. But, go look up the word anomaly as a means to doing yourself a favor.

@BandarHub

You, like the genius above, missed the point, but because you actually seem to want to have a logical discussion, I'll help you out.

An acquisition like Square is not something Sony has ever done (unlike Microsoft). Thus, Square ...

It's actually closer to the 6th gen (PS2 vs Xbox). So, it's WORSE than last gen!

That said, things will improve for Xbox. No, it will never enjoy the marketshare of PlayStation, but it doesn't have to.

1003d ago 16 agree3 disagreeView comment

It is about nurturing studios. Son's acquisitions don't take games from other platforms, for starters (the closest thing is Sunset Overdrive, but nothing was happening with that IP anyway). They've also always acquired studios. Every gen. That's how they ended up with Guerilla, Naughty Dog, etc.

The only anomaly was Bungie (yes, I'm sure this had something to do with Microsoft's recent acquisitions. But, even then, Destiny is remaining multiplatform...

Not for the zealots. :P

In any case, yes, PS5 is killin' it! Nothing surprising! It's the REAL beast console! ;)

1003d ago 0 agree0 disagreeView comment

No, it isn’t. On PC, however, Cyberpunk is up there (exceeds it in lighting). Characters, Burning Shores is leagues ahead!

1003d ago 21 agree1 disagreeView comment

The Last Of Us is one example and bad one at that. Sony has now released plenty of games on PC and hardly any of them have had those problems.

Exception =! The Rule

1005d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

PC will always be the home of Diablo. I get that you struggle with this, but that's what it is. Adding Xbox as an option doesn't change that.

1005d ago 7 agree2 disagreeView comment

Yes, it WOULD have sold much better on PS3. Nobody's bitter, you just live in LaLa Land and ignore historical trends.

1005d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Interestingly enough, where do you think Halo came from? It was originally for Mac AND Windows. Microsoft bought Bungie and then that all changed. Stop acting like they are some innocent, bullied child sitting in the corner being beaten over the head by the big bag Sony team (a team with far, Far, FAR less resources than them). They are nearly a multitrillion $ company. They'll be fine if Sony grabs some TIMED exclusives. That's far less destructive than buying a whole publisher and t...

CoD is remaining multiplatform. Besides, you don’t abandon a high profile property just because of an impending acquisition. That’s…. not how business works. At all.

Halo just needs a new shot in the arm to get it going again.
