I REALLY hope we don't have to wait a whole lot longer on this. I've been impatient since they announced that it was coming to the Vita.
Agreed. I believe everyone is entitled to their opinion, so I don't usually complain when to comes to other people's reviews. However, when sites like IGN give game this low of a score, it can have a negative impact on sales. This is really unfortunate since it appears that most of their complaints are exaggerated. Watching a five minute video of it is enough to show that calling it an "unplayable slideshow" borders on a flat-out lie.
The only legitimate complaint I have heard with this game is the occasional crashing issues, which IGN didn't even mention. After all the incredibly positive reviews I have read so far, it makes no sense to me how they could give it such a low score.
Oh well, I'll be picking it up Wednesday. It takes more than a overly harsh IGN review to keep me away from a good game.
Wednesday for me. Gonna pick up a copy as soon as I finish my last final.
Such as what? I've seen a few people complain about crashing in one spot, but that's it. Like I said, that's still really bad, but nothing that can't be fixed with a patch.
I think the article's title might sensationalize the issue a little bit. While this one issue is clearly game-breaking, one issue does not mean it is "plagued with game-breaking bugs." Based on what I've heard from others, the game runs pretty well up till that point, so it sounds like a quick patch should be all it takes.
I still plan on buying it Wednesday when I get the chance.
Ya the term "homophobic" is almost never used correctly. Disagreeing with something is not the same as being afraid of it. The term has basically become a way for the "open minded" to shun those who disagree with them. It's a straw man argument.
I feel like for the past week every other 3DS article has been about this.
The funny part is that, by repeatedly bashing this game, they are giving it a TON of publicity.
I'm getting really tired of hearing about this. There are tons of games that don't include same-sex relationships, why is everyone calling this one out?
Regardless of your beliefs on same sex marriage, the logic that something is "family-friendly" because "it's a part of our society now" is completely wrong. I mean, murder, prejudice, and hate also exist within modern society. Clearly nobody would argue that these things are "family friendly."
Don't get me wrong, I'm not comparing same sex marriage to murder, I'm just pointing out an error in your reasoning.
Miiquality? Seriously, this is getting a little ridiculous.
Hopefully the Vita will get more attention than they are saying. I'm gonna be awfully disappointed if it doesn't get a single big announcement.
I completely agree. It's my understanding that the system is currently doing better than it ever has. The time just feels right to take the plunge and fund a few AAA titles. Don't get me wrong, I'm loving all the indie games and ports (Borderlands, Mortal Kombat, etc.), but those unfortunately do not sell systems near as well as exclusives. Just do it Sony!
That's kind of what I'm assuming, but the wording still seems strange for a remake.
I'm a little confused. "Explore a dramatic new world?" Does this mean it doesn't take place in Hoenn? Maybe there will be an additional continent?
It's incredibly addictive. My biggest beef with it though is the server issues they've had. It's been better this past week or so, but a few weeks ago it was undergoing maintenance all the time.
This game looks like it's overflowing with potential. I can't wait to see how it turns out.
Two things:
1. Seeing as people voluntarily contribute to Kickstarter, it will be really interested to see how this turns out. I think people know the risk that they are taking when they contribute, but when it's a straight up scam, those asking for the money need to be held responsible.
2. Someone needs to look up the definition of trolling. Although short and playful, my first comment was legitimate (it really will be interesting to watch what happens) ...
*Grabs popcorn* This could get interesting.
Here's an idea, why don't we leave controversial topics out of E rated games and allow children's parents to choose what they are or are not exposed to.
