It also has a lot of issues that will apparently never be fixed.
I just don't understand why Sony would just completely ignore the system. Even if they have nothing new to announce, just show us a trailer for a game we already know about or something. It's no surprise that the Vita isn't selling well considering how little attention they've given it.
During E3, I had to keep telling myself that they were just waiting for Gamescom to drop a bunch of big announcements. Now that it appears that this isn't the case, I feel...
It looked like they announced a lot of PS4 games, but seeing as I'm more of a handheld guy it felt really weak. After the massive outcry by Vita fans during E3 it doesn't make sense that they would literally only mention the Vita once during the whole conference.
What is? The 3DS?
As long as it has nothing to do with Seth McFarlane, I will be interested to hear what this is.
If they do this right, I could be REALLY fun. Who doesn't love the muppets?
Ya, I wouldn't expect GR2 to be shown at Gamescom. Especially after E3, I think I would be satisfied with one or two AAA ports and a few good indies. With TGS really just right around the corner, I'm sure most of the good stuff will be saved for it.
Regardless of what you think of the guy making the cover, isn't that pose just a little weird (especially for a cornerback)? Also, the EA logo was awkwardly placed...
Why not port it to the Vita instead? If we are never going to get an original Bioshock title like we were told we would, at least give us this.
I'm guessing you are correct, but his comments really didn't inspire much confidence.
It includes 30 hours of additional content and they are going to "consider" bringing it over? I had figured on getting this, but I suppose now I will have to wait and see what happens.
@Abash Agreed. I have pretty normal sized hand and I have put in some long sessions on my Vita (on road trips I've played for 7+ hours straight sometimes) and my hands have rarely ever felt cramped and the weight feels basically perfect for me.
The sad part is the lack of consumer interest is really just the result of the poor marketing. Sony isn't really giving people much incentive to buy a Vita.
Give us Type-0 and a new Dissidia and I will forgive all the stupid decision you've made.
It doesn't sound like it helped a lot.
I would still suggest you pick the game up (especially if you've never played BL2) but don't expect a perfect game. The framerate is typically pretty poor (in general, expect it to run around 20-25 FPS) but it is still very playable. The other main issue is crashes that occur WAAAY too often. However, the game saves pretty regularly, so you usually don't lose more than 5 minutes or so (being moved back to the start of a ...
Sorry man, but I really see no way that you can call santuary's framerate "great." I mean, I doubt it ever goes over 15 FPS and often drops below 10.
I personally am really disappointed with this patch. I can survive the poor framerate, but the crashes every hour or so are killer, and it doesn't sound like this has been addressed. Hopefully, we will see more patches in the future that are more focused on the game's performance.
The problem with the idea that "we should be raving about E3 2014's 3DS and Vita showings" is that most of these games were announced before E3 and were barely mentioned in any conferences. Simply because these games were on the show floor does not mean the systems had a strong showing. Most gamers probably don't really even care what's on the show floor because all it means is they get to watch videos of other people playing a game.
In the end, both sy...
More like, don't spend the money feeding the smaller horse and hope the neighbors decide to give it something to eat.
So their plan is basically to do nothing for the system but hope enough people care about it that they keep making money. How do they expect to get the support of third-party developers if they aren't willing to support the system themselves?
"I mean Borderlands 2 is still to come to the platform..."
It's comments like this that really make me lose any hope that Sony might possibly care about the system. BL2 has been on on the vita since May. How could someone so high up in Sony not realize that it had been released? In my opinion, they should be embarrassed and ashamed of the way they have supported the handheld. Not only did the Vita get almost no stage time at E3 and Gamescome, but only real Vita ...
