Apparently they did and you can say it was money hatted or whatever but guess what your just speculating and guessing cause no one ever know what really went on to create this deal.

"It was because of money. Plain and Simple."

Any bloody retailer can put up a pre order placeholder. Don't give me that, Amazon France still have Bloodborne for PC on pre order.

"By the time it was an exclusive. It was already well into development so they didn't "need" microsofts money. MS just money hatted. That is all their contribution."

It could have been exclusive all along but they had not yet announced it. Stop talking crap as if it were fact. You don't know the i...

@Captain
And how do you know it was moneyhatted ? Just cause they didn't say anything doesn't mean they weren't part of the development from the get go and marketing costs alone is a huge help toward Rise of the Tomb Raider being successful. You don't know the ins and outs of these deals...

Look you can be bummed by the exclusivity all you want but you can't go round say it's fine for Sony but when MS are doing it, it's moneyhatting. It'...

Cause we all know what goes on behind closed doors at MS and Square. There is no indication that they didn't have this deal a long time in the planning. It was on MS stage at E3 (no announced platforms so your reasoning is ridiculous) and what if they just wanted to save the announcement for Gamescom ? No one has any idea what was going on regarding this deal so don't pretend like you do.

And as for your comment about SFV deal being completely different... Square didn...

It's okay when it's Bloodborne and SFV but Tomb Raider, nope. MS are evil...

Is anyone really surprised ? With the cost of games at an all time high to develop, third parties sometimes have to make these deals early on in a generation to survive. Square Enix didn't make there money back on Tomb Raider till the definitive edition on the PS4 and X1. Is it really surprising they would make a deal with MS that benefits them both.

Well he's sticking around to finish the game so that makes me think he wants to make sure the fans get a great game cause you know he actually gives a crap about console gamers. No he's not gonna benefit but he's sticking around anyway, which makes it all the more meaningful and I'll be damned if I'm gonna miss out on the last Kojima branded MGS game even if they have removed his name off the box art. It's still his game as far as I am concerned and his fans are concer...

I think a year after it releases, nobody will be talking about it even if it is a great game. Think I'll pick it up this holiday with my Xbox One... at least it's coming to PS4 though for those with no plans to get an X1 or have a capable PC. But again we got UC4 for PS4 in March, will be way more people interested in that for the PS4.

I agree and because were getting new content and surprises, rather than a rehash of E3 it makes all that more compelling. E3 already convinced me to pick up an Xbox this holiday just waiting for the right deal... can't wait for for Gamescom. Should be a great show.

Completely agree, at the start of the game, The Last of Us, (pre outbreak) and where you get to play as Ellie have got be the most compelling sequence in a game I have ever played. It is a fantastic game and well deserved of it's praise...

Also I'd like to point out the author thinks Bioshock Infinite tackled the same ideas and themes and did it much better... now there is a game that is over-rated. Bioshock Infinite is best described as a series of shooting gallery&#...

Even objectively it was much better than Dead Island and Riptide which basically dlc turned into another game...

I quite enjoyed this game, much more than I was expecting. Was a smart decision releasing it in Spring when there was little to go up against it. Happy for Techlands success.

I never played Fallout 1 or 2 or Tactics when I first played Fallout 3 which I thought looked amazing at launch and it wasn't even about the aesthetics. It was more the art style and the mood Bethesda created with there use of lighting and color. Anyway after completing Fallout 3 and wanting more Fallout, I went back and played there older games and I just couldn't get into them the same way I did F3, they were very much games of there time. With Fallout 4, I think it looks amazing to...

best game collection ever released ? Can't agree with you on that based on the fact they excluded the multiplayer... I loved UC2 MP and I'm very peeved that they didn't include it but it's one of the best game series on consoles and I am very much looking forward to been able to relive Nathan Drake's adventurous. It is definitely worth getting but they shouldn't have excluded the MP.

What are you talking about, gone way off topic. Why the hell does MS supporting PC gaming mean there dropping console ? Not all console games are coming to PC and even if that were the case not everyone wants to game on PC. If all my PS4 games were on PC (most games already are between 3rd party and Indies same for Xbox) why would I suddenly want to switch to PC. I'm a console gamer so I play my games on console. Why are you trying to make the insinuations because you yourself don't s...

I agree. Wouldn't put it past people to see what they want to see... even if behind all that is a fantastic game they'll just focus of the negative perception they've created for themselves. I think MGS5 looks amazing and at this stage it's probably nearly finished development so I doubt we'll see any type of downgrades.

Wow. It does look great and I really did not expect this title to be running at 60 fps (well not locked but that is the target). For the most part I'm pretty impressed if they can optimize the performance without any downgrades I'd be very happy to get this on my PS4 come November.
