words can't describe how perfect MGS4 is.
oh holy mother, please give us GOW3 trailer at E3!
i've seen at least a dozen perfect scores come out in that time and no change. but, the last "8" that came out temporarily knocked it down to 9.3?
one "8" changes score down but a dozen "10s" don't budge it up?
how can metacritic be taken seriously?
having casual games isn't a bad thing, but, if casual games will eventually be only option i'll quit gaming.
i don't think this will happen though.
this is like the 10th "10" i've seen in last few days: why does metacritic score NOT RISE? but throw out just 1 "8" and it'll drop to 9.2? how does metacritic do math? they must have been in the "special" class at school.
seriously, how can metacritic be taken seriously if they don't take ALL SCORES?
if single-player is still short with very linear missions; then it's just a rent. for 60$, i expect a whole game; not just multi-player goodness.
strboym: get that crap outta here! what you said didn't make any sense at all.
le-mo: explain yourself. why is it so clear (to you) that sony paid for MGS and FF?
i'm afraid your arguement fails. and buying an exclusive is just that: company writes check for game only coming out for tha companies console. that means that company does not help with anything. they just paid to keep game on their system.the publishing and investing in dev. are other business dealings of a totally diff. nature. sorry, your're confused.
but no, i don't think it should be common practice to buy exclusives. i think (generally speaking) that first party games are (obviously) exclusive titles. sonys first party line-up is strong and haven't even had GOW3 or Jak and Daxter series brought out yet. ms throws money everywhere they can because first party is non-existant. they have to try and compete the best way they can. but sony? i don't think they have to do it unless it is very special series (or dev) that has continually produc...
another 360 fanboy vote counted.
but people can have this discussion based on what metacritic is posting. good or bad for whatever game, i think meta is a bunch of bull****. i played MGS4 and GTA4: GTA isn't close to the quality of MGS4. it's that simple.
so true; you have to experience the game to understand how brilliant it is. SPOILER ALERT-----------cutscene where liquid beats the crap out of snake and subsequent scene with otocon, snake(with nasty wounds on face) and injured raiden were very emotional. well, i could go on and on....but you are right, a simple printed score does little to show the nuances, complexities and undeniable greatness of this game.
so, i don't see how their reviews can be a very good benchmark.
bring it on!
as long as that list had MGS4, FF13, god of war, KZ2,WKC, and resistance 2 on it
he's the most bad@ss lead character ever. but i don't doubt that 5 will surprise and shock us all again.
i think what payton said about snake is true. if he keeps going on dangerous mission after dangerous mission and isn't dead at some point it isn't realistic. this was a good time for snake to go out; as much as i hate to see snake gone, it's better than that cheesy ending for masterchief in halo 3. what a cop-out that was. they should have had him go out in a blaze of glory.(i guess ms and bungies financial needs are greater than the need for a good ending)
anyway, when i playe...
i like discs. i like the boxart. there are too many issues with dd. but it would be good for renting movies. NOT FOR OWNING MOVIES.
here's some bubbles- you're kinda low
