stupid for anyone to buy; but, the choice is the consumers.
here's a curiosity: why would ms not "refurbish" these systems in the first place and send them back to their original owners? hmmmmmmm? and if/when these break; are they refurbished again and sent to retail so they can be sold a THIRD TIME? or are they fixed and sent back to their second owner. man, i'm starting to confuse myself! and do "refurbished" consoles count towards new purchases? lots of q...
if cliffy wants that, he ought to look at what insomniac is attempting with resistance 2 multi-player and co-op. now THAT is bigger and (hopefully) better. and as far as badass goes....anyone seen some 300 ft. bosses in resistance 2 lately? wow.
saying this over and over....he starting to sound like he's trying to convince himself it will turn out great. (and he sounds just a little too insistant about it...kinda like dyack and too human)
and i'm not ripping gears at all; i'm sure it'll be good....but as good as cliff is saying (and hoping)? we'll see.

what grabbed me on that list was RE5....in october?! i sure hope that's true.
they made a console that uses the limited standard dvd. it was fine for a couple years but showing it's age now in year three.... so their that stupid.
but i agree with this not being true. ms certainly wouldn't try something so cheap and desperate...would they?
aren't you trying too hard to put a microsoft spin on this?...... and i've never seen refurbished ps2s on sale anywhere. and if sony had done that; every single x360 fan would've already ripped them for it. and i have never seen any posts talking about it until you mentioned it.
anyway, this may not be true about refurbished 360s. too many stories on this site end up being fake, and this sounds like one of those. i can't believe ms would think they could avoid major pr backlash...
it's legal as long as ms makes it clear on the box that what is being sold is a refurbished product. if they are trying to resell them as "brand new" then that's illegal.

what incredible gameplay in GTA4? i traded that game in after 2 weeks it was so boring! and predictable!! GTA4 was one of biggest letdowns for me in a long time. they called driving a short distance and threatening a porn director a "mission"? come on.

first, GTA4 was a snoozer. new targeting system wasn't too good, repetitive missions, not a lot to do with money....i could go on.
but, AC better than MGS4? what a laugh. i respect your opinion, but i don't think it's a real opinion and you sound like you're trolling more than anything.
i'll agree with you but i'd also argue any game is an aquired taste. everyone isn't going to like every game! i don't care for the halo series. i liked gears but thought it was a little shallow(no story) and too linear. but that doesn't mean they weren't great games to many people. to each his own.
RE2,RE4, FF games, bioshock,ME,RaC:ToD,uncharted, resistance....just to name a few off the top of my head. just because you set the bar extremely low for games, doesn't mean the rest of us do. now go back to playing your mindless multi-player gears/halo matches
