lame, to play I gotta be "permanently online" according to the page. I wonder how the future will be like for guys that game on PCs with wives that say "No we don't need internet. It's just you and me in this household."
The only thing I don't like about God of War 3 is the Bare Hands challenge. So utterly frustrating. The other challenges were easy peasy though.
But hey... 450k on day 1 isn't that bad for a ps3 game. From what I gather this generation, PS3 games sell big numbers over the long term. It's probably because there's a lot of variety for PS3 owners to pick from.
Thinking about it as a PS3 owner, from January to March this year we've had several multiplat games and exc...
@ms82: High definition matters in this generation because we're on television sets 720p and above. The only exception to this gen is the Wii but with the kind of games that thing gets, it's almost understandable. This doesn't exempt the 360 though. It's a core console and should be delivering the best for the audience it's targeting. So yes, lines do count. You don't go into the industry telling your consumer base HD was already here and then decide to drop min. requirements for it so t...
@ Shadow-flare:
"And as we've seen lately.....tons of sub-hd games lol. I remember when microsoft said that, 360 fans were saying it won't change anything and that it gives devs the choice. But ps3 fans were saying its because the 360 hardware can't handle current high end games anymore in 720p"
So by lowering the res and not needing the minimum of 720p, they are able to pump out more details and complexity into the games right? Does this mean that games r...
LMAO. That's the picture I took used in the thumbnail. Haha how funny. Score one for panda.
Anyway, anyone looking for a PS3 in their area has a higher chance finding one at Fry's. I should take a pic at Fry's. Good bunch of em sitting with each other mingling. But there's like two Fry's within driving distance (an hour apart) compared to Targets, Walmarts, and Best Buys.
You guys know how much fail that comparison has?
One is installed. The other isn't. Comparison fail.
I was at Walmart today looking for GoW3. They had four copies left. I also took pictures of the # of consoles they had on my crappity phone.

PS2s and Gos then the next shelf over,
MS will promote the crap outta Natal with mall kiosks everywhere following Nintendo's strategy. Sony won't market a thing and pretty soon Natal will be the biggest thing. People will even forget the EyeToy existed at kiosks in ToysRus back in the PS2 days. The Move will go down in history like hd-dvd did. They don't need Natal or motion control in general to work. They just need to pretend it does. It's not like the casuals care.
Since when did mommy care that the WiiFit a...
anyone know why he was laid off other than for "financial reasons" ?
According to that article,
"the Xbox 360 was at 38.7 million units sold worldwide as of the end of
2009 while the Playstation 3 followed closely at 33.5 million."
This puts it at 5.2m difference worldwide at the end of 2009. Then...
"look at the quote, I never said worldwide, I said nearly twice the installed base according to NPD data- 20M-12M."
So according to NPD, there is a 8m difference. What does this mean...
can't just take a jab at any multiplat game. Must take jabs at PS3 exclusives because flamebait articles = hits
Where are the "Top 5 Failed Gaming Websites This-Gen" articles ? You know ? Those gaming websites always begging for hits with their so-called 'journalism' ?
There's this thing that I notice happens a lot in n4g. It's called selective reading. Go google selective reading + fallacy
hey this is the same site that has the article about how the game is only around 8 hrs long. they really want hits!
where were all the articles about mw2 single player campaign?
it's just so retarded how i can't play a game i bought unless i have an internet connection. worse yet, the saves get sent online! I was really waiting on settlers 7 but hopefully ubi will remove the drm before that comes out.
Maybe sales are more equal in the US. Take my opinion with a grain of salt. Just that I went to Walmarts, Targets, two Best Buys, and three Toys R Us and the PS3 versions were sold out. There were tons of 360 versions though. I had to go to a Gamestop and get the PS3 version, and the gamestop employee was funny when he said "obviously the ps3 version right?"
Either not many people are purchasing the 360 version in the US, or they didn't anticipate so many people des...
I'm sure you guys called BS on the $ when plasmas and lcds first came into the market.
Is the anonymous source HHG?
It would be silly if they market the Natal as gaming without controllers, only for the games to come out and you need the 360 controller to complement them.
Totally not what was marketed.
And what's the point with holding an object if Natal doesn't require it? To simulate our senses? The object doesn't provide any haptic feedback though so it's a rather moot point. Afterall, we need some sort of feedback (pressure, vibration, sound, etc) so we can feel the reassur...
