it's like Bobby Kotick saying he's leaving Activision just before MW2's success. Haha. Would YOU believe that?

I'm curious how well this will sell. Is ms targeting the casuals on the 360 to get the adding? If so, how many casuals are there on the 360?

150 is a bit much especially when the Wii is a household name. Moms associate the wii as friendly and casual but I think the same moms would think of Halo when they see 360. At 150, the same moms would compare it to a wii, and for new console owners, these casuals will see the wii to be more attractive than a $299 360 arcade n...

From the rumors I read, the next Apple tv specs (which according to many sites is still really just a rumor) show that it's just an upgrade to the Apple tv. Never did it mention anything about gaming. But here we have the media construing the rumors and making it seem like it's gonna be the next Apple TV + gaming console combined into an iphone-shaped device.

This is why I don't like it when the 'journalists' out there are putting the word Apple into th...

When squeenix gets out of this generation, the next won't care much about what else they have for development. I think it's safe to say the new Squaresoft are companies such as bioware and santa monica studios.

The issue with the Foxconn suicides isn't even entirely related to those four companies, just more or less Sony and Apple. What I don't agree with the title is that with the gaming issue a month ago, it's like now we have to bring apple to the equation when we mention the obvious gaming companies. Apple shouldn't have to be in the same sentence with the three words Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft.

Eh why they even bring Apple to this article. They're not even serious about gaming. They've never been. They appear like they're more into targeting the mobile casuals. I think the companies that are really putting their resources to gaming are the obvious nintendo, sony, and Microsoft.

ps3 shortage still likely? I was in gamestop today picking up mario galaxy 2 and trauma team and this kid came in asking if they had ps3s in stock, then the gamestop employee said they're not getting any coming in next week.

Walmart close by had them three a week ago but when I went yesterday they were all gone.

how many move games announced do you know that requires four players?

I think last generation, devs learned that making a better looking game on the xbox didn't necessarily mean better sales versus making a standard looking one on the ps2. With that in mind, like sik had said, devs can make a medium vesion that looks standard on both consoles and expect them to sell like candy. There's no reason to put so much more effort into the other console version of a multiplat game. It's not like that effort will magically draw 360 owners into selling thei...

People seem to forget that even if the move is cheaper, they're not forcing consumers to get extra wands. Remember what you guys always said? Choice? Options?

5744d ago 3 agree1 disagreeView comment

$150 will seem cheap? It's not like they're packing all those announced games with the camera for free, probably like 2-4. You still gotta buy the rest of that 'huge' list. That is... if you want to buy the rest of that.

What's with these .ie domains? Anyway I'm eager to try out natal at fry's before I buy. I'm not a big fan of motion control casual games, but maybe they'll incorporate it into their lot of hardcore games.

Good for ms though. They're expanding their hardware to other horizons.

Most games come out new for $59.99 these days. Three of that before tax is $180.

Just a couple years ago, games new were $49.99. Three before tax was $150. Comparatively, I could maybe find a used game for $30.

And a couple more years before that SNES games were like $39.99. Three of those were about $120. I could get a fourth game and it'd be $160. With $20 left to spend, I could maybe get a gameboy game. Actually, for $180 in those days, I could...

If they patch it later, then review sites will knock down points just because the game was missing features.

I took a picture of the PS3 stock at Walmart a couple months ago. It was out of stock then.

The very same Walmart is still out of stock on PS3s today, almost as elusive like the Beatles Rock Band for Wii.

I'm not saying it's out of stock everywhere, but the shortage is there and nabbing a PS3 isn't as easy as walking into a store and getting one out. You actually need to look for one.

Maybe instead of reading articles talk fud about a port using a hackintosh, you should actually try out the darn game on an actual Mac. Like above said, it runs quite smooth. it's not as crisp as portal on my pc few years ago, but on my mbp it runs very smoothly.
