So how many people in n4g play their games that far away from the tv set? I assume you all have some kinda seating arrangement for your tv entertainment area. It'd be silly to have to move the sofa aside to play ricochet.
The good thing is they seem to be enjoying themselves. The silly thing is the adult asking the kid to join in when clearly the kids do not pop in as two additional avatars playing ricochet. Poor kids probably thought they were actually playing.
FangBlade's comment shows at least 130 fanboys from one console and at least 30 fanboys from another that bumped into this article. =)
would be great if they actually found someone that had more enthusiasm and knew how to play ping pong. They should make a multiplayer online pictionary game for the move.
$150 for one. But hey. $300. It's a premium for the "hey look at me i'm the cool kid of the block" feeling.
Samsung 55 inch 3dtv for $3300. Not $8k. Rather expensive, but much more cheaper than when plasma screens first came into the market. And for $3300 and 3D, it's cheaper than a high end bravia set. Or the cheaper 46 inch one for $2600. Pick your poison.
what about that guy that said "Is there lag or do I just suck?" Which build is that?
Lol I remember going up those stairs. I showed my cousin a YouTube vid of that and he was like, "that's scary?"
Sure it doesnt seem scary nowadays but six years ago it was pretty darn creepy
Haha i was gonna say. Suddenly 3D is cool with everyone in n4g. Remember when it was talked about in the beginning? "Oh eff this eff that I don't want to get no stinkin 3DTV. It'd be crazy expensive anyways!" Now we're getting "oh I wish I had my 3d glasses" or "I'm gonna pick up a 3dtv just for the experience"
tsk tsk.
the 3rd game ended the trilogy but the child in the ending insinuated that he'd become the new thief, similar to how the thief in the series became one. If there's a new thief ... it'd probably be based off that kid, but then again, a whole lot went into shambles in that 3rd game.
Stupid article contributor. "beautifully animated" and "visually similar" are two VERY different things.
And "as beautiful as Uncharted" is not the same as beautifully animated
Features are great to have alpha, they truly are. But I hope this doesn't mean MS also losess touch with what the xbox is at its core. It's a gaming console. Now are they going to focus on bringing us more games at E3, games we don't know of? Or are they going to focus on hulu and talk about non-gaming features as the highlight, aside from natal?
Like I said, features are great. But I never bothered and still don't care about Twitter or Facebook integrati...
I have feeling it was mistranslation, since the reporters here do a really fine and awesome job at translating Japanese into English with the right context

Online gaming? The ps and dremcast had these. Not big of course, but still had it. And before these? Remember TEN ? total entertainment network?
Sur achievements are great but really it's not much of an innovation when you think about how many games before it's time that had in-game achievements that made players play until they unlocked everything. The achievements today are just achievements of yesterday brought online to elevate one's e-peen.
Moms trying to get a new video game console for their kids this holiday. Assuming they don't a console yet, Wii or natal bundle ?
I said it before and I'll say it again. It's sad that journalists are pitting game companies against Apple. They're not even serious about gaming! Look at the recent ipad games on the app store. They're pathetic! Besides, the ipad isn't even designed to be a competing portable gaming 'console'.
I think it's more reasonable for journalists to just go back with the whole Sony vs Nintendo vs Microsoft debate and leave Apple out of the entir...
Burnout paradise - stupid game needs a 'gps' something like in RDR/Gta for races.
DBZ budokai Wii - horrendous controls. When gestures clearly don't make a game great.
SSDs are not viable for a console. The price would turn any head away. Now the hybrid drives coming out are interesting though - ssd performance at the price of a regular drive. Anyway SSDs aren't all that entirely fast. It's just fast for specific things. Also, it's a little unfair comparing a 2x bd drive to a 12x dvd. You can put in a fast dvd drive and still say "oh bd sucks cuz dvd is faster." How many "fast" bd drives are available anyway?
by the time next gen consoles come out, we'll be having possibly 6 tb drives or more. 4 tb drives are coming out in the market shortly next year and new consoles aren't expected until 2012 right?
With that in mind, by that time most of the "next-gen" console owners probably also have fios or something suitably fast enough for digital downloads. Of course, I'm not a really big fan of digital download. Some games are okay, but it would be clearly a ripo...
you probably could just get any suitable webcam, build your own IR emitter and voila you got yourself a DIY natal. All you'd have to do then is fake the 360 into recognizing it as natal.
Looks more interesting than lost planet 2. whatever happened to 'that' game.
