Only if you got a non-idiot playing with you (can't count how many people have gotten chainsawed in the demo). The issue I have is...I don't want COOP for Resident Evil. I don't want to be forced to play COOP for singleplayer since the AI is incapable of defending itself. I've said it before, a simple fix would be to make her INVINCIBLE...why not? She does nothing to help you.

Had no problem with them. Type D work perfectly fine other than not being able to move while I'm knifing. Got thru the demo with another guy (thankfully someone decent for once online) and took no damage and had 45 bullets of machinegun left and 2 clips of pistol. Just pop em in the head, they get stunned, run up and kick them, then stomp them. Done.

I've noticed this too. Every review searching to nitpick something seems to mention that. 2 weapons = bad!
When did this become bad? How many games even allow you to carry as many weapons as you want? I can't think of any off the top of my head to be honest. Having a choice, I'd choose 2 weaps only. It makes sense. 1 primary gun and 1 secondary.

Good score but still got lower than the big xbox titles. No surprise there. They nitpick it to death. Lowest score it got was for STORY. They say the story is standard fair but does what it is suppose to do. So it got an 8.1. Cut to the Gears 2 review. Story doesn't matter. 8.8.
makes sense. They need to justify a lower score without being blatant on their bias so they just subtract as much as they can from story.
Am I the only person sick of COOP games? Every game does NOT need COOP.
Oh well...maybe I'm just bitter over how RE5 seems to be ruined because they felt the need to add COOP and I have no one to play with. Terrible AI. If you must have COOP...and there is no one to play with...at least make the COOP AI invincible since they do nothing to help you anyway.
I love these articles cuz I've never heard anyone, not once, call Killzone 2 "the Halo killer". Yet there are a bunch of articles talking about this mystical people that refer to it as such. I don't get it. I'd never even think of comparing the 2 games. That would be an insult to Killzone 2.
Oh well, just the simple fact that articles like this come out shows that Halo lovers feel threatened by Killzone 2...for whatever reason.
I dunno...is that how the full game is gonna be? I thought maybe they just did it for the demo. The demo feels more like that extra mode from RE4 where you are on a level and must survive till time runs out or whatever.
If the full game is like this, I agree...rather lame. They are taking the game in the wrong direction with COOP and if it is split up into levels like this...another wrong turn if you ask me.
a week later...like it matters. The game doesn't come out for a month. Who cares when you get the demo. Now if you got the game early...that would be something. But a demo? Who gives a f*ck?
got a couple slowdowns as well. Not from grenades but on the first level when the zombies start breaking thru windows to get in the house. Slowed down a little. Nothing that really bothered me enough to effect gameplay tho. Hardly noticeable really.

Is she with you the ENTIRE game? I really hope not but I'm guessing she is. Guess I'll just try to get someone online to play with me while I make my way thru the game. So far tho, people are pretty terrible online. I can tell they have played before cuz they know to open certain doors and things and boost and all that. Yet they choose to stand in front of the chain...
Not saying RE5 demo is bad (I hate the AI COOP component everything else is great)
but I really disliked the Dead Space demo. I played it for like 5 minutes and thought it was crap. I ended up getting the full game and think it is only 2nd to MGS4 in terms of best singleplayer experience of 2008. Demos can sometimes give off the wrong impression.

you played the demo yet? That is basically how the AI is. Dumb and you must babysit her the entire time. Hop online and play and it is fine if you have a good person playing with you but otherwise...going it alone seems futile.
She has 2 commands, protect you or attack. That's all you can do with her.
sux huh? You pretty much MUST HAVE a friend to play with. The AI is hopelessly stupid and the demo is pretty much you running for your life the entire time until you are either rescued or kill a boss type character for a key. The AI won't run, she stands there and fights and gets killed and you constantly have to call for her to run away.

mmm huh? RE5 PSN demo for Japan came out last night. I'm in US and knew it wasn't coming out till today. So I just went ahead and made a Japan account and got the demo last night. RE5 demo has been out on the 360 for much longer in Japan however.
No region restrictions or anything....yet. So I don't see any problem with making an EU account and getting this Killzone 2 demo thursday.
ya I couldn't get thru the demo with the AI. I hopped online and beat the 2 levels. I really don't see how it will be possible to beat the game with this dumb AI. In the demo you are running all over the place trying to dodge enemies. Be pretty damn hard to do that while babysitting the AI.

nah I got destroyed in the Dead Space demo as well. It is like they threw you to the slaughter for the demo...I dunno why. I was put off by it.
I did eventually buy the game tho, and it was phenomenal. Before you know it you are a killing machine. Beat it on the hardest difficulty was pretty much ease. Just ran low on ammo a few times but other than that there was no problems. Great game where the demo didn't do it justice. Same way I felt about the Uncharted demo. Odd, c...
