lol @ the misguiding title. variety.com is now on my ignore list. But surely enough anyone who hasn't played any games at all will be wow'ed by pretty much any games wouldn't ya think?
I agree with Heavenly Sword and Folklore. But R&C was not underRATED at all! It got a wooping 88.6% at gamerankings. That's a really high score and the franchise is known too. I don't think anyone looks at Ratchet and throws it off their radar because it's a kids game, I think they just don't like those type of games in general.
On a sidenote I'll add Stranglehold and Virtua Fighter 5. Stranglehold because it's a lot of fun period. Virtua Fighter 5 because it was a launch g...
wow I actually thought it was just the song playing in the background and couldn't understand why the hell that sackboy was dragging that object for no reason. Then a few more seconds went by and I finally understood it. The timing was just perfect, like I said I couldn't hear the difference from the real thing. I'm totally amazed.
lower the price and i'll forgive.
Easy to figure out. The games that we've all read about in the media for the last few months are finally coming out and there's a bunch of betas and demos for those that are coming out soon.
Also combine that with lack of any real news. I mean what's the last we've heard of Fallout 3, Gears Of War 2, Resistance 2, SOCOM, Prince Of Persia, Far Cry 2, Guitar Hero World Tour, Rock Band 2, Valkyria Chronicles, Fable 2 and etc. Even LittleBigPlanet hasn't got much news, the only art...
First off why do you have to have one or the other. Why not have both? The OPTION to download from PSN and the ability to install from disc. There's actually nothing bad about that at all.
Oh and btw, 78% of the whole world population might not have internet. But I bet a good 80-90% (maybe even closer to 95%) of the PS3 population has. Think about it, who buys a 399$ console and not have the money to get internet.
RE5 = RE4HD, do we need to discuss this anymore?
Okay one more thing, the press is saying Dead Space is better. Nuff said
Mirror's Edge was developed first and foremost on PS3. Fallout 3 was being developed on X360. That's the difference
Prince Of Persia, when is that coming again? December? Like I said, they aren't many that support them. Let's face it, there aren't many that support Trophies. If you actually noticed it. It took Criterion months to bring out trophies and they are using PS3 as lead platform. It is time consuming and for what? So that you can a feel a little bit better for taking o...
Trophies wasn't included because dev kits was released too late in development. If you look at the fall lineup, not many have trophies included. Maybe those late in november and even if Fallout 3 comes out then, it is such a big game there probably would be a lot of issues with implementing it at this stage.
Anyway Oblivion was the first game to play better on the PS3, so I have no doubts that Bethesda is willing to put money and resources into the PS3 version.
MM has already confirmed that there won't be a PSN version. So that's that.
Top 5 for me would be
1. Okami
2. Shadow Of The Colossus
3. Metal Gear Solid 2
4. Indigo Prophecy (or Farhenheit for non-US territories)
5. Final Fantasy XII
They do actually plan for pricing in advance. They do it in order to calculate the costs and how much content will be released and wutnot. I mean pretty much all MMO's know if they're gonna want subscription fee right off the bat or not.
Apart from MMO's there aren't really any subscriptions for games yet. The closest being DLC and that is planned in advance too, so that once the game goes gold (which is usually a 3-4 weeks before release) they can start the work on that and h...
Haven't played a wipeout since PS1. I remember it was very fast paced, so much that I very often crashed into walls. Is it still kinda like that?
I'm kinda in for more relaxing games nowadayz, so I was wondering if you still need to be very focused when racing.
I honestly always loved the guitar hero controller better. It doesn't feel as cheap. Although I don't think I'll buy the new controllers as I got the Rock Band 1 instruments. Not sure if they'll work with GH:WT (doubt it) but at least I'll get to play Rock Band 2 which is pretty much enough for me
"Making the impossible possible"
That should really be MGS series' tagline or Kojima Productions' for that matter.
I actually loved Onimusha. I never did finish any of them though but I really liked the third one and would've loved to revisit it if I can find the time. From what I can remember it had some pretty cool puzzles and the combat was pretty good too. Not really DMC good or anything but it was fun.
Dino Crisis I couldn't care less about at the time since it was basically RE with a dino costume on the zombies. But now that RE series has been converted to an action game I would love ...
What type of modes? All I heard was the no-fail mode and the practice mode.
Their new tracklist is very impressive compared to the first one though.
Sounds worst than it actually is (although it's still bad). 605kr in terms of the average norwegian PURCHASING POWER is more close to 60$. It's kinda like how their Big Mac meal costs 70kr or something and over here it's close to 6$. To make further comparisons, newly released PS3/360 games costs 600kr and over here it's 60$.
Also, not that it matters much but they usually don't have to pay taxes on consumer products. It's actually calculated in the price already so 600kr is th...
oh I wouldn't expect the EU to get into blu-ray that quick. I was in Norway in the summer and blu-ray wasn't big. I think the prices were twice the price of DVD or close to. Not to mention that the selection was small. They had half a shelf at electronic stores (Spaceworld, Expert) and GameStop.
Their biggest chain Elkjop had a bit larger selection but nothing compared to over here in the US.
EA has improved tremendously because Fifa sucked when PES got released. They have the ability to improve. So the game will improve exponentially, while PES has reached diminishing returns and even if they were to put more resources into it they wouldn't be able to improve much more. In other words, it's easier to go from nothing to something than from almost everything to perfection.
PES, apart from the glitches and bugs and frame rate issues of PES 08 is actually flawless in t...
