Allowen, just curious, what jrpg is the 360 Getting?
I was already going to get it. Love me some jrpg's.
People should also consider that jrpg's don't get reviewed that well, so a 10/10 is amazing. Hopefully good sales.

Blown out of proportion? This is probably the most ideal time to be throwing our arms around and asking what the f*** is going on.
It is like having a law that states the red cross can kick you in the nuts for not donating money.
I doubt it will be implemented, but if we didn't say anything, we only have ourselves to blame when our kids are asking why the game they took over their friends house wouldn't work on their console.
I actually bought one after Christmas. It irritates me to no end, but I only bought it so my little sister would enjoy it. She loves fruit ninja, as do I as it works even better than the ios one. I tried it on my Motorola Xoom 2, and the kinect version blitzes it.
There are some really cool games on Kinect. I myself don't enjoy them, but I feel very happy when the kids are having a blast. I don't think there will be a good 'hardcore' game for it, but I will co...

Xbox 360 sells well in US = patriotism.
PS3 sells well in Japan = well done, they made the right choice.

Metro, Bioshock, Aliens CM are the only ones I'm dead-set keen on. When Gears comes out I'll probably become more interested, but not atm.

Why would Sony patent this so that no-one else could use it?? I find that hard to believe. If Microsoft or Nintendo did this, they would commit suicide and give Sony more sales.
I doubt this will go ahead. Most likely the big boys (MS,Sony and Ninty) will eventually all meet up, and all sign a deal to implement some form of restricting used games. That way, they all benefit.
We have seen oil companies and banks use this method...

I also agree with you, but this will never change. This gen we saw a massive influx of this generations teens (the bratty, over-spoiled douche-bags) and so it is more apparent.

Seriously though, I hope this does not go ahead. Surely no amount of loyalty (either xbox, ps3 etc) would make someone buy a console that treats consumers like monkey scrotom residue.

I thought that Game of The Year awards went to multiple games, but everyone acts as if only 1 game gets that crown.

I agree. I cannot say which is better, as it is an opinion. As far as FPS games go, Halo wins for me hands down. The story, universe, gameplay and now graphics from Halo 4.
Never cared much for CoD, but they look quite enjoyable. All I can say is that I loved CoD 4 (who didn't), and that I am not well equipped as far as knowledge of CoD goes.
To each their own. Halo for me.

Totally agree. Most people who own a 360 were Sony and Nintendo long before the Xbox was announced, now they have either switched sides or enjoy multiple consoles.
Having been a Nintendo and Playstation fan, who never owned an original Xbox, I agrre that the 360 has been a success. I love it.
Hopefully next gen, and I don't mean to preach the same rhetoric, but I really hope for new IP's. Not for fanboy bragging rights, ...
If it is not XBOX 720, Alan Wake 2, Lost Odyssey 2, new Banjo Kazooie game or new Conkers Bad Fur Day game, count me out.

Incorrect. Never said anything *negative* about any other platform that I did not include the Xbox in with as well.

But, the point is, people are using that same tired rhetoric they always use. Fact is, this is not Halo, there has been 1 retail game and one downloadable game, yet people are acting as if this is the 11th entry in the series.
Sour grapes, and jealousy I'd say. Anyone who disputes Remedy makes good games is not a true gamer in my books.

If either XBOX or PSN trophies did not carry over into next gen, there will be a lot of people switching sides. I don't think either of the 2 big companies would risk that.
I think achievements need to be improved (coming from an achievement and trophy hunter), as the Gamerscore does not mean crap. Some of the impossible achievements are worth 5gs, and some super easy achievements (like those in Avatar TLA, take about 10 mins all up) are worth hundreds, some as much as 5...
Must have EA-itis.
