I have never understood the hype battlefront gets. I loved the original, but it gets boring easy. To boot, it didn't even really have a story.

Your missing the point. There are always other alternatives, games that don't require online passes. XBL and PSN both offer different services, and each console has games that can only be played on THAT console.
I could easily look at evrything people buy day to day and pick out crap that I think is 'stupid'. No-one wants xbl to cost money, it just does unfortunately. Unless Sony buys Gears of War and Halo, expect people to be paying for xbl in the masses.
Next gen Fallout 4. I could not see myself excited for a current gen one, as it couldn't be that much of an improvement over 3 or New Vegas.
Love to see more alpha effects in Fallout 4, as the immersion would be amazing.

XBL does not feel as poor. Much more social, with party chat and the fact that headsets were apart of the console bundles.
And is this some moral high-ground people are taking, or are they just extremely poor? Because if it is the moral high-ground thingy, I could easily call everyone who buys games from EA, activision and Capcom suckers.

Don't care, as long as it is not Activision. Although EA have worse practices, at least they can put out a decent game. Just look at The walking Dead FPS footage from Acti. F***ing horrendous.
Although Rage ran at 60FPS, the gameplay itself was pretty bad as far as I am concerned. It looked like a cool game, but I never got into it. That stupid hologram mini-game pissed me off as well lol.
I want an EL XR6. Be cool if they asked us what cars we want in GT6, and people could buy the ones they wanted (more of a dream, unless they can scan cars and put them in the game quickly and efficiently).
Love GT. Own every one. Still remember the Dodge viper and Corvette from GT1. Plus the epic sound-track.
What I meant was we have not seen what has come out of all this uber spending. I just hope they manage to knock something out of the park, otherwise it is a waste IMO as it could have been used for what gamers have been asking for.....more exclusives. In my case Lost Odyssey 2, new Banjo or new Conker. Alan Wake 2 is probably already in development, so that could be good news.
No dammit no!! The alien animations sucked in avp, but at least now it is in 3rd person. The graphics are nothing special either, but I'll enjoy it.
4 player co-op, gearbox, and sequel to one of my favourite movies of all time? Yes please. I would kill myself if they had that stupid regional lock on matchmaking from the 2010 AvP game. Worst matchmaking in history, but an otherwise super fun game, both SP and MP... if you could forgive some of its faults. I loved it.
Donkey Kong on the Wii was impressive. Love to see a HD version. I'm most keen on a killer Metroid and Zelda, plus some JRPG's.
I saved my brother duke nukem forever in cloud, and moved it to another console yet he still had to start off at the beginning again. That was after I managed to get it to stop saying 'syncing'. More like the service was 'sinking'........... ahem.
I suppose this was part of this problem?? Man having to replay that Duke nukem game must have been painful.

Hopefully a lot was spent on the xbox next. Such a shame that they have spent that much money, but have not put it toward some sort of innovation in gaming.
To think how many exclusive franchises they could have made with that money. I can't fault them on a business perspective though, quite smart. I would love to see something good come out of this, something that would benefit the world in technological advancement or something, not just for Microsoft devices.

I haven't played it, but I think that considering its metacritic score is pretty well the same as Halo and CoD, I'm suprised it is (and was) getting soo much hype, when apparently Halo 4 is just as good (going off of reviews.
Maybe they just excited to be playing something other than Halo or CoD? I have the insane edition on PS3, but haven't opened it yet.

Oh please. These publishers are just mad that they didn't think to buy back their used games and sell them for a profit. We live in a capitalist society, deal with it. I don't like GameStop, but why are they not allowed to sell used games, in a world where many people benefit from them?

You see what you want to see. The difference is, the one with the nextbox was a rumour, whereas in this case, Sony patented a technology to be able to block used games. BIG difference.

Never played BF2. Never knew you could play it online. If that is true, I fully understand the hype, and am now extremely depressed I never got to experience it.
I live in Australia, and ADSL broadband was only available in my Area in 2006 or 2007. It was the 256kb download as well. Basically I only experienced Warcraft 3 online during the ps2 era.
