But Japanese companies have strong bonds, why do you think miyamoto has stayed with Nintendo so long? 360 gmaes have to do with MS paying for exclusves which really no one in the West cares about. If Square wanted to expand away from PS3 in their home market they would go to Wii or just keep making DS games. Westerners only buy FF. And westerners won't start buying 360s again until Gears 2.
But the West includes Europe too and PS3 is winning there. Square wouldn't betray their home base anyway, why do you think the keep making so many DS/PS3/Wii titles. Hell they release more DS titles for Japan in 2 months then they do in a year for the 360. All this has to do with is MS buying exclusives. And in case you hadn't noticed most people in the "west" only know of two RPGs FF and Pokemon.
Well I own a PS3 and a 360 so I'm not really disappointed in this though. But i really fear what will happen if the 360 some how beats both the PS3 and the Wii this gen. MS in power is not something we want to see, its why they waited 8 years to give a new OS and then screwed up on that one.
We'll see. I don't have as much hope in this game as everyone else does.
Then they will have to have a storage solution. In 8 years even grandmas will have filled their memory with wiiware games. But I really think that they'll announce something at E3.
Really i see that happening. There was the ability to have 16 bit graphics for at least 2 years when the NES was released in 1985 but Nintendo didn't use them until 1991 with the SNES.

It didn't it might become niche but there are so many pc elitists out there. Unless Counterstrike, Starcraft 2 and WoW come out for consoles I don't see this changing. And consoles attempting to be like PCs only hurts the industry. Most people don't enjoy PC gaming, for them it is too hard. Why do you think Nintendo released the Wii? The other 2 have complicated buttons and a bad image. Nintendo allowed gaming to be considered a good thing again to the general public.

Argue it all you want, but the fact of the matter is that Sony is an electronics company, microsoft is a computer company, and nintendo is a GAMES company. Why don't you think a single nintendo system plays movies or cds? Surely anyone who bought a ps2 for dvds is a nongamer?

I still bet Halo 3 will have more media hype.
But America still likes the Halo/Gears crack. And they aren't into the PS3 too much. When your local Gamestop clerk asks you "you want that?" when you go to buy one (like I did) its not doing to well. But everywhere else you are right.
The problem is the general public doesn't value hd or bluray. If they did it wouldn't be expensive. Apple Ipods are $300-400 and sometimes $500. But everyone wants and has one. But people like digital things and its going to happen with movies too. DVDs are most likely going to be the last disk based format. HD is a scramble upmarket to try and stop digitalization. Hell the PS4 won't even have a disk drive. The XBOX 720 and the Wii 2 (well knowing Nintendo it might...) probably won't either. ...
And the PS3 doesn't have any good ones except for MGS4 and thats stealth. only place Sony is really doing well is Europe. Hey its were Sega's last stronghold was too.
The Nintendo Train is a sailing without ya. The Wii is as much of a fad as the NES and the NES seems to be going strong. I have no sympathy for Sony they went into the market to make money. Nintendo and Sega truly cared about games. It was their ONLY business. Sony does stuff like bluray to win the format war for its dvd players. Thats has nothing to do with gaming.
FYI the Wii wouldn't be as popular as it is if people weren't getting bored with traditional gaming.

After FFXIII i will have no reason to keep mine. My 360 and Wii are enough i think. But MGS4 has me holding on for a little longer.
Its more intense the combat in Sigma feels to slow. Really I like both but NG2 blows Sigma away.
