It would be the equivalent of the Rare buy out for MS. The name is there but the substance ain't. Sony is smart enough not too do something like that.
Heavenly Sword didn't exactly set the world on fire, it makes more sense to sony to focus on GOW3 I think fans will be much happier this way.

Yeah I actually bought an 80gb to replace my 40gb. Allot of people are doing it. I Imagine if GTA IV only gave the PS3 a 20,000 hardware bump that this won't be much bigger. Maybe 50,000. Still good for PS3, but nowhere near Japanese PSP/Wii/DS numbers.

Wow, this list is a failure. Apple made computers mainstream in the 80s. Microsoft just improves upon existing technologies. And Sony is just a greedy company that thinks they own all of consumer electronics. This is based on consumers. Consumers see Windows and they see PS2. They do not realize that these were just improvements on existing tech. Its like how people think Band-aid created bandages but don't realize they had been around for years.

Things are going digital not blu-ray. People valued dvds because they felt it upgraded there movie experience (rewinding, skipping, etc.). The fact is people don't value blu-ray that much they are content with regular dvds. Sony is just afraid that something similair to itunes will pop up for movies and become mainstream.
