Do you release that most of the people who will buy MGS4 have already bought a PS3 when it first came out or within the first week of the MGS4 release? the game is frontloaded, 300,000 more people aren't going to buy a PS3 for MGS4. Especially when the game is selling to the same core fanbase. The series launches are about the same every single time. Only MGS3 was significantly lower than the others.
Its a frontloaded game. In other words it will have short legs. People were declaring imminent doom of the Wii when Halo 3 was released too.
