This will fail tremendously. Not to mention its exactly what Nintendo wanted them to do. This will split the userbase and alienate customers.
"if we do that too early those ideas would be stolen. We know that from past history. Analog stick. Boom - gone. Rumble Pak. We bring it out and everybody has to have rumble. We got the wireless out first and now there's wireless everywhere. So we have to keep it under wraps."
By forcing companies to copy afterwards ...
You hate on Halo 3 too much. No one mentioned it except you.
I'm sorry explain something about gameplay that is good then? If shootings bad, and the gameplay feels generic why is it revolutionary?
Actually I've been seeing this too. reviewers complain about cutscenes, controls, and gameplay and then give it a 9 or 10. The man said nothing wrong, he works at gamesradar and he is a 360 fanboy but he did play the game and thats more than half of you saying "greatest game EVA lolololol" can say. The story is great everything else is subpar. Go off of N4G and create a thread asking what people thought about MGS4 and you'll hear "the story was amazing, the graphics were amazin...
Europe gets Brawl! I just beat MGS4. I think I'll buy Secret Agent Clank since Daxter was amazing. Hope this one is comparable since most Insomniac/Naughty Dog games are.
"on the PS3 this could drum up hype for the PS3 game and get cross console users interested in the game if they have never played Final fantasy before"
And Nintendo would want this why? It would be like shooting yourself in the foot. I actually want Pokemon on the VC though.
Reviewers have to review games. I see no reason why they should not criticize what they do wrong. If the controls are better than mgs2 and mgs3 they would have mentioned it and they did. But they are still bad. They shouldn't ignore that because they "aren't hardcore mgs fans" they shouldn't ignore long cutscenes because "its an experience not a game". The story is AAA the details are AAA. The gameplay has been showing age since MGS2. This is more or less a compelling movi...
Japanese first, West second?
Yeah. But the good titles aren't as mainstream as the PS3/360 ones. They have about the same amount though.
@Kyur: Regardless of Sony's reasoning they should never have lied to their customers. They had no right to be so arrogant. they should have delayed the PS3 if they wanted motion controls or just keep the DS2. This reminds me of Nintendo's "The industry will go to CDs when we want them too" bs they used during the SNES days against Sega and everyone else trying to use CD based media.
I can't stop laughing.
Pyramid Head = #1
How is Sony entering any different?
Its handhelds. They control 80% market share. The made the DS so ports would be impossible. 90% of games made for the DS with special controls with 0% of ports = failure for PSP. It stops companies from leaving and porting. Nintendo doesn't make the same mistake twice.
Sorry I think he meant legally. You can't play PS1 games on your PSP legally.
SOnic 2 is an amazing game. You fail.
I'm sure.
Play the originals first. if you can play the PSP game. It'll make allot more sense. MGS4 is good but its not as good as 3. Its still much worthy of a buy though. Its just not as groundbreaking as MGS3 was for me.
"Masato Maegawa, Treasure: When we were originally working on Sin and Punishment [for Virtual Console], there was some discussion utilizing Wii-like controls, and I think now that we’re working more with the Wii, it is something we’d very much like to try."
Frankly Sin and Punishment was one of my favorite games during the N64/PS1/Saturn era. a sequel would be amazing. But it probably wouldn't be released outside of Japan. You should play the localization on the VC thou...
Companies won't enhance visuals and textures for a PS3/360 game. The cost would outweigh the benefits. The userbase is much to small. And if Sony would implement a motion controller wouldn't they want to differentiate itself from the Wiimote? With you know something somewhat better? If so ports would be next to impossible.
