I forgot MGS3 only sold 4 million copies. Where are the other supposed 50 million who are buying a PS3 just for MGS??
After about a month from release everyone who was going to buy it will have bought it. This may surge PS3 sales but I don't see it being a long time surge. Once the hype is gone it'll ust float off like Halo 3 and Brawl.

You don't deserve a Dreamcast. Go get an XBOX and play Halo 3 or some FPS with all your 12 year old friends. Leave the Dreamcast with real gamers.
PSP is selling well, DS is selling well. Both have good games. Most handheld gamers own both. Whats the big problem here?

You guys actually think microsft cares about gaming? They wanted to stop sony COMPUTER entertainment. They wanted to disrupt and attempt to halt the PS2 so sony wouldn't take over the home computer buissness, and so far to an extent it has worked.
Did the PS! or PS2 push gaming : yes
Did the Jaguar or the 3DO (the advanced systems of their time) : no
Gaming is based on how products effect the industry, if game companies painted sh*t in gold and only the hardcore bought it then the industry would die

The nes used 8 bit tech while everyone else used 16 bit, but you all praised it. PS3 and 360 overshot the average user by being to pricey and having features no one needs (*cough*saturn*cough*). The Wii came in and disrupted the industry. And dont forget a disruptor = crummy product aimed at non-consumers. The nes was aimed at kids "non-consumers" while pcs had epic rpgs and such. So Nintendo changes the face of the gaming industry again, and yet no one gives them any credit. I wonder if the wiimote will influence gaming as much as the NES and SNES controllers did? Personally though I don't like the whole remote design though I think the Wiimotes, Newtons, and PS3motes all look rather ugly.

People said it about Nintendo too after the NES and SNES everyone thought the N64 would catch up because of its superior graphics and great games, but what beat it, the PS1 a shovelware console with worse graphics. Wow sony's getting their own medicine ain't they?
when the Saturn was only selling in Japan. Its the same logic and MS cut off the original xbox early just like the saturn. Oh and how long did the dreamcast live, 2 years? Before the PS2 hit that sweet spot? It doesn't really matter though Nintendo has this gen easily.
I really see the PS3 as the N^4 of this gen, MGS4 = Ocarina of Time? Mine has broken 4 times. Ipod to Apple is like windows to Microsoft. I love my Zune from its faded blackish blue case to its huge lettering and enormous screen. And the "Hello From Seattle" at the bottom helps show that MS cares. Mabye Sony can make something, oh wait that Walkman thing...right.
Its addictive yes but I look over at Harvest Moon and laugh the hello out of Animal Crossing. But do you guys actuaaly question the sales power this thing has? Think about it you go and create your own virtual town in a forest full of animals. Every parent will get it. this is crack for kids. Its like neopets and webkins, except on a console.
